Terrible way of doing business! Booked reservation 3 months ago for a reservation in airstream paid for at booking reservation was for 7/31/25-8/2/25. Received an email last week that they were canceling the reservation without explanation I contact the Auto Camp Cape Cod by Hilton but could not receive an explanation other than they had to cancel other reservations also. Try find reservations on the Cape for a weekend in August when you have been notified the end of June your reservation has been canceled. Beware

AutoCamp Cape Cod is a very special place and would stay here again but share this feedback to help others have a more enjoyable stay.

For arrival, it would be nice to know you can pull up to the lodge for check in and park afterwards, especially after a 9 hour drive. We didn’t know where to go and there are multiple parking lots so we brought everything with us for check in and had to carry everything back, then move the car to our designated camp site lot. On our last night we left our windows open in the Airstream not realizing noseeums were a prevalent bug in Cape Cod. We rented the Airstream because it had air conditioning but the weather was perfect and the air was not needed so opened all the windows since they had screens. We woke up at 4am from painful bug bites and thought they were bed bugs. We learned they were noseeums but had never heard of them before. They were literally everywhere in our Airstream and had to pack up everything and leave as soon as possible. We wish this was communicated through educational signage throughout the camp, like you see when hiking if yellow jackets are on high alert. We would have kept the windows shut to avoid them. It sadly ruined our overall experience and AutoCamp is not a cheap option. We are also still suffering from 25+ noseeum bites each five days later. I don’t think bug spray would have helped either, not with the amount of them.

When we arrived we were looking forward to our tent experience. But the unexpected 100 degree temps were stifling. With a smile and a sense of humor the camp desk clerk found an upgrade to an air conditioned Airstream which had air conditioning, saving the day.

I booked one of the airstreams in May, paid in full for a 3 night stay for at the end of July. Received a notification yesterday that the room I paid for was no longer available. No explanation other than a reference to the policy that allows for the property to cancel a reservation at their discretion. They did offer me different dates or travel to the Catskills instead as well as one night free as compensation for the inconvenience or a full refund. If only I could be that flexible as to change my summer vacation plans.

Auto camp is in a great location just behind a paved bike trail. You can rent bikes there but we brought bikes and our teens biked downtown to shop. Could also bike to beach but it rained one day so we skipped that. The main building is beautiful and had fun games and tasty breakfast/lunch food. We ended up with 5 people on this trip so rented 2 airstreams but with teens even 4 people would have been pretty cramped in one. One would have been easier with small children or one kid. Once the couch in the living room is opened up it’s really hard to walk around in there. But otherwise the space is designed really well, lots of outlets and charging options. We didn’t get a chance to use the fire pit but saw other families doing it successfully- they have firewood there for purchase. Definitely a fun glamping experience!

Great experience

We absolutely loved the campground, especially the clubhouse and area around it. The staff were INCREDIBLY kind and very proactive in making sure we were taken care of, fires were lit, the kids had s'mores sticks and hot chocolate. We throughly enjoyed our stay!

We'd never used a compressed log, not our favorite way to have a campfire.
