The Falcon Hotel

Lovely stay at the Falcon. Friendly staff and good food. Breakfast nice, we felt portions were a bit small. Was staying there to celebrate my mums 80th. Cool that you can get into Castle Ashby Gardens as a hotel guest.

I hardly ever leave reviews but I simply had to for this hotel. Everything was so lovely. The staff were fantastic, so helpful, friendly and kind. The furnishings were high quality, in good condition and looked brand new. The breakfast was well worth adding on to our booking. The ingredients are clearly of a high quality and prepared with care. We also appreciated that the staff were able to accommodate us for dinner in the bar even though we did not pre book a space. For anyone thinking of staying in this hotel, the East Wing Lounge had wonderful options for food and drink, so i strongly recommend making a reservation. Walking on the grounds was a nice surprise too. The marmosets were my favourite animals in the menagerie. The flowers were in full bloom, the grounds are well maintained, the kitchen gardens gave me garden envy! I wish i could have purchased some of the chili plants. I have never seen some of the varieties that were growing in the green house. Clearly someone has given a lot of thought into providing little thoughtful touches like umbrellas (make sure you make use of them and not chance it like i did!) and i think there was a boot room where you can borrow some wellington boots too. This hotel is on the pricier side but the level of service and the quality of all the products justified it completely. It was a romantic little getaway and we felt really pampered and relaxed. I hope to come back another time and try the Eyas restaurant and a spa treatment.

The Falcon and it's staff are absolutely incredible. Jackie on reception could not have been more welcoming and so helpful with showing to me room 8 which is beautiful with a lovely bath. The whole place from start to finish is absolutely superb- parking is easy and safe, rooms are beautiful and beds so comfortable, bathrooms immaculately clean, restaurant was excellent (the lemon sole was perfection). The ambience of the restaurant is lovely- really nice calming music too. The grounds are just amazing- a lovely 7 mile walk loop in the morning with free access to the stunning Castle Ashby gardens. I honestly cannot rate this hotel highly enough- thank you again to Jackie, you made my stay truly wonderful.

Beautiful hotel in lovely grounds and area. Lots of walks available. Great dining options, the food was really good however the cheeseboard did disappoint my partner. Would definitely stay again.

The hotel is very tastefully decorated and has everything you could possibly need in place to stay. Friendly and helpful staff, good cosy lounges and outside areas with patios and well planted gardens. It has a good bar and options for eating either a la carte or more relaxed options. We had a meal and our breakfast here and the food was to a high standard. Our room was lovely with rich fabrics and a very comfortable bed. The attention to detail was excellent, although the bathroom was small it was perfect in terms of quality of fittings/shower cubicle and also the hand wash/shower gel etc. This is going to be hard to beat, when we do our next hotel stop-over. Well done The Falcon, we hope to be back someday!!

What a beautiful place in a gorgeous village setting. We was not disappointed, the room, the food and of course the most helpful staff too. We would definitely go back and certainly recommend to our family and friends

Extremely pleasant stay, exceeded all expectations.

Loved the room and the facilities. Food a little pricey but breakfast absolutely stunning. The setting is glorious and the village is spotless and welcoming. Will DEFINITELY be returning as one night not enough.
