Locals pay €3.50 (25reais) which is more in line with what you get, dirty bathroom, curtains that don’t close and thin foam mattress covered in plastic. Old and torn sheets. Cameras everywhere including the doors to the bathrooms and showers and a small note that unless you specify they can use your image by checking in you have given consent.

Long list of rules and costs for everywhere but respect in the shared rooms nowhere to be seen, so people are loud and disrespectful don’t expect to sleep. After being misled by the staff at checking I wanted to leave on the second day but they refused to reimburse the nights I’d paid for they told me I could sleep in a room in repairs, I realised later it’s because I paid with booking almost three times more what the normal room rate is. Very disappointed.

The staff used to knock on the bathroom door when I was spending more than than 10 mins in there to do my own stuff (shower, then face things and other things like makeup, so normal). There was another bathroom available at the same time. It was a bit pressuring from the hostel staff.

Hostel staff did not explain why they knocked so loud on the door when I was there just peeing, washed my hands quickly out of emergency then nothing (noone to be seen). If I had been pooping it would not have been that fast. Lol. Staff is not that nice in general. Not very helpful

The hotel is not far from the beach, but it is located on a hillside. The room facilities are old, the bed frame feels very unstable, and I am worried that it will collapse when sleeping on the upper bunk. In addition to the bed, the only chair in the room is occupied by someone who put clothes...

The charge me $100 for a room with 5 bonk beds. They need to put regulation on prices during Carnival

The room is very comfy with ar con during the night, although not during the day, and have curtains for more privacy. The kitchen is pretty nice and well equipped, although the pans are a bit old. Nice working space and decent wifi. Amazing tower to relax, with good connection, and excellent view. Good pressure in the showers.

The pets of the house pee and poop in the house so it's a bit annoying during the night when no one is cleaning - otherwise it is pretty clean. There is no washing machine for guests to use, as in the ad. They are pretty strict with check out time and not being able to remain in the hostel unless you pay a fee that also includes keeping your belongings there. The prices change depending on the day. Ubers don't go all the way up to the hostel because it is inside the favela, they stay before the hill, and there are moto taxis there.
