Hurstwood Hall

I booked a single night at Hurstwood Hall Guesthouse on a whim after an exhausting week, and I’m so glad I did. The whole stay was remarkable. The guesthouse itself is set in a beautiful historical building, which only adds to the charm and sense of calm you feel from the moment you arrive. The host was wonderfully attentive, always on hand if you needed anything but never overbearing. My room was clean, spacious, and comfortable, with a private bathroom just opposite—everything felt thoughtfully put together. What really stood out was the peacefulness of the setting. The grounds are tranquil, and I experienced complete and utter silence throughout the night. It’s rare to find somewhere so truly restful. Breakfast was another highlight—a lovely menu with an extensive choice. I went for the traditional English breakfast, and it was absolutely delightful.

We loved everything about Hurstwood Hall, out in the country, with an old English country style character. All the original features are in perfect condition alongside the amazing decor and furniture throughout. The hosts, David and Mark made sure our little break away from the kids was a 10/10 experience. From the initial greeting, we felt totally relaxed and welcome, and it was just the complete luxurious stay. Everything - the bed, the feature bath in the bedroom, the quality of the robes, the location for walks, and finally the breakfast in the morning - top quality. We’ll be coming back to this place 100%. Thank you.

An immaculately presented historical building with every modern comfort. We stayed in the converted chapel which had one of the most comfortable 4-poster beds.Serene and peaceful and with a very homely feel. Superb breakfast served by our excellent host, David.
