"Excellent staff on the service desk but the place needs AC"

6.0

This was one of the few available locations during the World Cup and even though it was a little bit far away from the City Centre, the location was pretty neat as it was next to a huge park "Victory Park" that offered a good alternative to unwind far away from the stressful city. The girls at the service desk were amazing and the hotel was good for how affordable it was, it desperately needs AC in summer and I'm assuming it needs heating in winter, the bathtroom needs a renovation as well, but honestly for what you pay it has a very good cost-value benefit.

"Far but good place to leave."

8.0

I have been in AVS hotel (actually it is hostel) for one night. The cost of 1200 rub i paid worth it. The hotel located far from the center, you have to take two kind of transportation to get there. But its not so hard and the place are worth it- located on the side of the town near really nice grove and a little lake. This environment brings to really clean air there. There are shared showers, less comfortable. For 300 rub you get modest dinner and breakfast from the Russian cuisine which swore me. The staff wishing to help, don't know English.

"Best for schools and backpackers"

6.0

This hotel is clean and reasonably comfortable. My room had a comfortable bed and plenty of storage. The en-suite was clean and the shower had lots of hot water. On the downside the bar closed at 8pm but that was probably because whilst I was there several school parties were booked in. This could have been a problem but like good Russian children they were in bed and quiet by 22:00. The food was extremely basic and there was no choice at mealtimes. However, the Victory Cafe which can be accessed directly from the hotel did have some good food and a wide variety of drinks and it stayed open into the early hours - of course you had to enjoy Karaoke whilst you drank and ate! Situated next to Victory Park the hotel was a long drive out of town and from the airport.
