"Perfect hiking weekend and a wonderful holiday in beautiful surroundings."

10.0

The cabin is at a perfect location, on the hill, in the woods, by the sea, overlooking the beach. Secluded but close to all amenities. It's right on the coastal path (a few steps down the hill) and the hike we took westward was easy and pleasant. The cabin itself is clean, homey and filled with sunshine in the morning and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay here.

Nothing really. It would have been utmost convenient if body/hair shampoo were provided but we failed to take notice and went out to buy them from a supermarket.

"Idyllic peaceful haven where you can hear the waves."

What’s not to like about this wonderful log cabin. Jeremy and Karin had left us a wonderful welcome of clotted cream and scones to have with tea on arrival. It was very welcome. They have put a lot of thought into the finishing touches they provide. The cabin has a wonderful view over the harbour and is lovely and quiet and not overlooked. It really is an idyllic get away and your in your own little world. The cabin is well equipped with both a walk-in shower and roll top bath. The kitchen has all the usual bits plus a dishwasher and lovely full size fridge freezer. Lots of little extras available that you can use if you want in the kitchen. The bed is a kingsize, there is also a large sofa in the upstairs room that can be used for looking out and taking in the views. The lounge area has an armchair and small sofa infront of the tv and bifolding doors that open onto the decking area and outside seating. Lovely for sitting out and taking in the view, or eating outside. We are getting older and fussier and yet within a few hours we had rebooked for next year so this in itself tells you how wonderful we found it. There is also a car park space for you so all you have to do is go up the stair case to the cabin and your own little little taste of paradise away from home. Jeremy was kind enough to post my wife’s medication she had mislaid and left behind. He lives nearby and on hand should you need anything.. I must not forget the lovely lady at the ice cream kiosk down in the harbour selling the local ice-cream which really was lovely we visited most days. If you are looking for a takeaway tea then there is a wonderful fish and chip shop called Seafare which we also recommend. We took a bus trip to Ilfracombe and couldn’t beleive it’s only £2 each way. Takes around 1.75hours to get there but worth it as lots of scenery to take in and the harbour is nice when you get there.

We had to come home! A washing machine would have been a bonus. Going to the supermarkets which are the other end of town ( 5 mins drive) they were full of the residents of the Butlins holiday camp!

"Incredible views, easy access, comfortable and cozy."

The location and view were spectacular. I could see and hear the ocean from the cabin, and had easy walking access to the South West Coast Path as well as the town of Minehead. The space itself was comfortable and charming. An amazing place to stay!
