Thalita Cozy Apartment

We had a lovely stay at Thalita Apartments. Maria is so lovely and is very responsive to messages. The apartment is exactly as advertised, centrally located, yet quiet enough for when you want a relaxing break. It's an easy walk to all the main museums and other places of interest.

Size of apartment was large and conveniently located at city centre. Within walking distance from the port. Host went out of her way to assist in securing a parking space. Thank you for making the stay memorable!

Location was alittle hard to find. Intermittent wifi.

Our hosts were super friendly and helpful before, during and after our trip! The location is in the city centre and harbour making everything easily reachable by walking. The apartment is however in a peaceful side street so you get the best of both worlds! We stayed for a month and will stay again should we visit Crete again.

There was nothing not to like!

Very nice, helpful owners. They live upstairs in another unit, so are nearby for any problems. Very nice place to stay as well and a great location! The owner also left several water bottles, orange juice, Coke and a box of tasty cheese butter cookies that were wonderful!. Also a small bottle of Raki, which I never got to use. I'm not a fan of anise flavor. But the thought was what counts!

We had some miscommunication checking-in due to too many platforms being used. There was the Booking.com app, an e-mail address, a phone and text number run through Hotelyzer (which apparently stops working late at night) and a real local phone and text number through WhatsApp. We had a planned meeting time, very late at night, but then that changed when they e-mailed they wanted a call an hour before arrival. I was on a plane then, and don't have phone service when I landed. Then a new message came in by way of Hotelyzer, saying to text a different number (the local one) when I arrived at the airport. I didn't see this, and had a driver meeting me, so I waited outside the apartment shortly before the planned time of arrival. After about 20 min. I went back and checked messages and found the one about texting. But I didn't catch it was to a different number. 20 min. later, I figured out that mistake and texted again. Shortly thereafter I figured out how WhatsApp works and called. Turned out, the owners live in the same building! Why not just say "Ring apartment number X Doorbell on arrival"? Would have been a lot easier, quicker and less stressful for all. But luckily the weather was nice and I was comfortable waiting, so no great problem. The only other issue was the wifi. New router, but no new password info. Sorted that out quickly though and it worked great!

We really like this property and the owner. The place was very nice and clean.

Maria and Lefteris were super kind upon arrival with many recommendations and during the stay! The apartment itself is very spacious and has all the amenities one needs. The location couldn't be more central in the city centre and is just a few minutes from many restaurants, cafes and bars. Very good for sightseeing and going to the beaches near Heraklion!
