I chose this ryokan because I had an early flight at Kagoshima the next day and I actually had an excellent surprise: very large and comfortable room will all amenities and a private onsen. The staff were very welcoming and nice, and speaking English. Dinner was excellent, with a good choice of drinks. A vey nice experience indeed.

I should have stayed a bit longer to explore the area which appears to be quite nice (Sogi waterfalls, but also the mountains around with many hiking opportunities)

Incredibly premium experience from start to finish. Staff always going out of their way to make your stay the most comforting possible. Amazing dinner and breakfast courses, great rooms and onsen. The perfect ryokan getaway from busy areas.

Food fabulous. The whole experience was great, room was amazing. We requested a private bathing experience, and that was lovely in the outdoors.

Breakfast was great, the private onsen was excellent, the room was spacious and comfortable. Wish we had time to stay another night.

I thought we had booked beds but surprised that it was only futons. That got lost in translation when making the booking through Booking.com as it was obscure in the wording. Also, we were not advised that we had to book in advance for dinner at the ryokan. That was probably the fault of Booking.com in not making that clear when we booked.

スタッフの方の心遣いが素晴らしかったです。食事も美味しく半個室なので感染症予防の意味でも安心でした。　また利用させて頂きたいです。
