Oasis Atlántico: rincón secreto al pie de los senderos

The home is located in a unique place for Tenerife, which is so overpopulated. If you want to escape somewhere you won't see anyone, that's the place. There're 23 houses in a village, but they are mostly empty. I went hiking right from the house and took a route - Tachero - Taganana - Playa de Tamadite - Afur - back to Taganana taking a different route. It's a really beautiful hike with varied scenery.

If you were thinking that this place is going to be your base to see various places in Anaga park, think again. The road to and from the house is really not so safe (in some places it's more like an unpaved trail, and it's a two-directional unpaved trail, so if you meet a car, you need to somehow give way to each other which might mean driving backwards on that trail). So, once you are there may be you won't want to risk taking that road too much. But you can see Anaga starting from Taganana.

Everything. Incredibly remote location by the ocean. Tachero and Taganana are amazing traditional villages.

If you need quit and authentic place it’s a best place! The road after Taganana is ok, no worries! If you are at least 5 years driving experience you will have no problems!

The location is extraordinary if one likes remote places (and steep tracks to get there).

Traditional house by the sea in a fantastic remote location. Only a handful of houses. Wonderful sunrise en sunset views from the rooftop terrace. Fantastic views to the sea and the mountains. Unwind, go back to basics with only the sound of the waves. Perfect for nature lovers and hikers. Complimentary oil, vinegar, coffee, tea, spices... Washing machine available. Good e- communication with host.

The road to get to the house is a bit adventurous (steep road), but more than worthwhile. Recommended to travel by daylight. No shops in the village, so make sure to do grocery shopping beforehand.

Absolutely amazing location, 100% worth the walk or any minor incoveniences. Would definitely stay there again. One of the most beautifully located accommodations I've ever stayed in. And the nearby village is quite lovely, too.

-the last Kilometer of the street was a nightmare. the road is a sand road, no barriers to avoid falling 200 meters down. only one car fits in the same time. when the rain falls, the road becomes muddy and you can stuck. from the mountain rocks fall down. according to the people living there the road can be blocked for days after heavy rainfalls. extremely dangerous! the appartment has no internet, except in the kitchen. there is also no cell phone net. if something would happen, no chance to call the ambulance. we booked the apartment for a family with 4 year old kid. there was no real sleeping place for the kid, just a small sofa in the kitchen. the sofa was very small and it’s not the same as on the pictures. in case your kid wakes up at night and wants to the parents,it needs to climb steep stairs. all red lights were on!! we left after 1 hour as we didn’t feel safe. according to the neighbourhood this is a trap. the people told us that the tourists come and leave immediately. we learned our 250€ lesson.
