Beautiful view, authentic rustic experience

Could use a little maintenance

The location is good, tho be warned that the map will bring you to the private property side of a small cluster of buildings, and you need to drive past this to the far side of the cluster where the hotel is.

We were provided the wrong room instructions and walked in on an occupied apartment. We discovered the key box where we acquired this key does not actually lock, giving us security concerns for our own apartment once we were settled. Only two windows in the apartment had screens, and the apartment had an unpleasant smell. Tho it was extremely hot outside there was a nice breeze - we could not open the other windows or doors to let the breeze in because we were immediately swarmed by mosquitoes. It was so hot inside we could not stay there, and left until 10pm. The so-called rolling A/C unit does not cool. Out the back door is a grassy patio that could be lovely overlooking San Gimignano, but the chain link fence, bird pooped old furniture, and ashtray full of old cigarettes really soured the mood. The final insult was when the shower flooded the next morning, overflowing the bathroom into the hallway. The gentleman who came to see it was friendly, kind, and apologetic, and offered a bottle of wine. Nonetheless no one was able to shower and we left asap that morning in a grumpy, sweaty mood.

Location and view

L’emplacement est exceptionnel. Nous avions déjà séjourné dans un autre établissement tout proche, sans soupçonner que l’on pouvait aussi louer dans ce petit borgo très typique. La vue sur San Giminiano est magnifique et l’appartement très bien rénové.

The rooms were spotless and the view from our little balcony was exceptional! Our host Alessandro was wonderful.

The property would be perfect if it had air-conditioning. Apart from this, everything else was great.

Location is nice, great views of San Gimignano. Also close to a good restaurant (walking distance). Quiet place, good value for money, especially for a large family. Good amount of bathroom towels provided. Comfy bed in the main bedroom. The host provided clear instructions for check-in and check out.

No air-conditioning, some power points did not work, even when trying the switch. No toiletries were provided, which is fine if the soap dispensers are supplied full. But they were almost empty.
