We have stayed at this hotel a few times. Nigel as always was really friendly and is brilliant at recommending nearby eateries. The hotel is very close to the NEC. The breakfast is always good.

Although the hotel is very near the airport, it is nice and quiet. The en-suite shower is extremely small and a little claustrophobic. We have stayed in other rooms and they are a bit roomier.

We stayed at the Tri-Star hotel, whilst attending a trade show at the NEC. The location was perfect (only a 5 min drive to the NEC) We had parking booked for the NEC, but understand there is a shuttle bus you can take from the hotel as well. Nigel the owner was extremely helpful, suggesting places for dinner and ways to make our stay more effective. Breakfast was cooked fresh to order and was delicious The hotel is very close to the airport (you can see the planes on the runway from the bedroom window), however you could hardly hear any noise as the window was very well sound proofed. Would recommend this hotel as a great base for airport, NEC or even visiting Birmingham city centre - we would stay again!

Breakfast was great, really good service by all the staff. Ideally located by the airport and just off the main road.

Room was very small, it was for 1 person and it wasn't a problem really, but it was a surprise to be honest

Hotel manager and staff were very friendly, had good conversations with them in evening and at breakfast - they provided a very home-away-from-home environment. Location was excellent for NEC, both for driving there and access to bus to NEC (and airport and train station).

Double room I was given was fine for just me, but felt like it would be quite cramped for two people.
