SunnySide-Cottage

Location great for visiting the Burren, Cliffs of Moher and surrounding area. Lovely cottage, nice garden, well equipped for self-catering and each bedroom en suite which was great. Comfortable, clean and private, close to Ennistymon.

Great location to the lovely village of Ennistymon and the Cliffs of Moher, We spent a splendid Christmas in Sunnyside Cottage and will hopefully return. Kevin was always at hand when needed

Nous avons donc loué les 2 maisons. Tout s’est bien passé malgré un temps pluvieux et venteux. Maisons spacieuses et propres. On a apprécié la salle de douche dans les 2 chambres de la maison côté gauche, et la cuisine spacieuse.

Sol de la cuisine trop chaud le matin. Les radiateurs s’allument tard le matin et s’éteignent le soir (les serviettes ont juste le temps de sécher Le lit grince beaucoup.

Fully equipped holiday home conveniently located between Lahinch and Ennistymon. Lovely place and staff.

The heating is a little noisy.

The garden was a lovely additional space for relaxing and for the children to play. The house was spacious and full of light.

The road was quite busy, but that can't be avoided, and the house was set back from it.

De woonkamer en de slaapkamers zijn mooi en sfeervol ingericht.

De keuken is oud en niet schoon. Het serviesgoed is een rommeltje. Er is veel lawaai van de auto’s op de weg te horen.

The location, while Ennistymon has nothing to offer other than an Aldi, was very central for accessing Lahinch & other nearby beaches together with accessing Milltown Malbay town.

The musty smell from the moment I opened the door, which continued into the living room, up the stairs & even existed in the main bedroom. I felt it was coming from the mat well, the kitchen cupboards, the living room rug & couch, the stairs carpet & the carpet in main bedroom. The fact I couldn't keep the doors open to help with the smell, given I had seen a rat outside. The fact we couldn't relax in the outdoor garden given we had seen a rat. The dirt of the clothes line outside it was covered in green/algae. The fact I couldn't open the upstairs windows in full & only on a big vent. The strong odour from the water when we ran it in the downstairs sink & upstairs bathroom. The extremely strong musty smell from under the stairs which meant you'd be slow to use anything from there such as the ironing board. While the host put in pest control it was only when I asked for a solution. Regarding the water they also acted promptly ; first told us to buy some & then showed us the county council confirmation of algae in the water but that it was safe to drink. However you would not feel safe drinking it therefore we bought some. Cleanliness was not thorough despite having paid a €75 fee for cleaning - cobwebs on light fixtures, dirty carpet that could easily be cleaned professionally & a very strong musty smell throughout the house.
