Gasthof zum Siegburger

Da kein Personal vor Ort war musste man telefonieren um Schlüsselzugang zu bekommen was nur indirekt funktionierte da znser Schlüssel nicht dort hing. Das Problem wurde aber schnell behoben

Wir waren zufrieden..

Friendly hosts, spoke English, allowed me to check in early. Room had space, bathroom/toilet was nice. Breakfast was excellent. Straelen is a nice city, easy access to Netherlands.

The bed was not that comfortable.

Very nice and hospitality stuff.

There is no elevator

Comfy mattresses , comfy pillows (even though not all covers fit them well) Extra blankets Warm, clean room and bathroom Great electronic blinds on the windows , to keep the morning sun from blinding you Good shower Quiet location Friendly staff Great to have the car parking space at the rear of the hotel. Good selection of food and teas at breakfast, (though the taste of the coffee was poor. I used my instant coffee from home and poured hot water on). Lovely soft boiled eggs! We walked about 5 minutes into Straelen till we found a grill bar with great value good food (fab salads!) and friendly staff , where the dog was also welcome.

The towels would be nicer, fresher after a hotter wash. They weren't as fresh as the usual white hotel towels. The liquid hand soap was very drying to the skin. It Would have been nice to have a water bowl somewhere for the dog, since they are dog friendly. Noisy floor when walking on it Some areas smelling of smoke Would be nice to have a street map of the town to walk out with

Practical and good

Too few plugs for electronic equipment. Cold.
