Guest Cafe Kuchikumano

The owner was lovely, helpful, and friendly, he thoughtfully had coffee prepared and ready in the morning which I really appreciated. The location was an excellent place for us to get started on the Kumano Kodo trail, very convenient location close to the train and the bus station. Excellent value for the price. I also really enjoyed staying in a more traditional place, really neat experience. Smoked cheese made by the owner is so delicious!

If you are used to a more western style bed, the futton can be quite firm. There isn't much soundproofing between the rooms, so important to be mindful of volume when talking. But these are cultural things, not bad, just different if you aren't used to this.

The bus stop is just a minute away, making it really convenient. The owner is incredibly friendly and even sells delicious homemade cheese. My room had a traditional Japanese setup with a futon, and having a private space was a nice perk. The kitchen is well-equipped, and with a supermarket nearby, it’s easy to cook or enjoy a morning coffee. A special highlight is the handcrafted table downstairs, made by the owner.

Finding the hostel was a bit challenging; I had to call the owner for help with directions, but he was quick to respond and very helpful. The stairs are quite steep, so caution is needed, though they add charm to the place.

I stayed for three nights. The hotel is clean and well ventilated. I was lucky enough to have a large and quiet room. The owner is very friendly and doesn't bother guests. But the only regret is that the floor noise is loud. It will be noisy if you live next to the stairs. I would come again if given the chance.

　連休利用にもかかわらず2,000円代とリーズナブル！上富田駅から直ぐの一直線の立地。近くにスーパーもあり2階ダイニングで飲食ＯＫ、周りに飲食店もあり。 オーナーさんも親切で6畳の和室にフカフカの布団が用意してある。宿は古いが田舎を思わせる佇まい。シャワー室やトイレはリノベ済み。しかし、一つづつしかないのでと思ったが団体がいる訳じゃないので問題なかった。多少の制約は伴うが、かえって不便な位が良かった。一部屋当てが割れてこの価格には頭がさがります！ また機会があれば利用させてもらいます。

オーナーさんがとても親切。建物は古く階段が急できしんだりしますが、設備はリノベして何より清潔に保たれていました。お布団がふかふかで、よく眠れました。隣の部屋とは襖のみとなるので、ちょっとイビキが聞こえたりもしましたが、必要最低限の備品があり、快適に過ごせました。

혼자서 3박을 했습니다. 청결하고 좋았어요. 다음에도 또 이용하려고 합니다.

Simple japanese-style accommodation. I guess we were lucky because there were one Korean customers the first night and only the 3 of us the second night, because services were quite limited.

Steep stairs and hazardous with heavy luggages!
