Terra Lodge

The breakfast was good and location fair.

Terra Lodge is a "Heart Project". The owner spent 4 years building it to what it is today and everything has been done with second hand materials. The Staff was amazing and there are so many great alternative ideas thought into the concept. A common kitchen where you can cook your own dinner, a yoga studio offering classes every day, a living room where digital nomads can work and so on.

Everything is a balance, and sometimes the scale tips the wrong way. Dog friendly is unfortunately interpreted by some inconsiderate dog owners to you can let your dogs run free, ruin the lawn, not pick up their dog shit and not consider the other guests. The use of secondhand materials is cute, but it sometimes impacts functionality. Light sleepers will struggle here as there is a lot of noise from the other guests, neighborhood dogs arguing all night, and cobber pipes rattling.

We spent 2 wonderful weeks with our family in the Terra Lodge. We had a spacious family room with an adjoining shared kitchen. The large garden with pool and relaxation areas was perfect for us. The surrounding area with its great beaches and restaurants made the whole thing simply unforgettable. Many thanks also to Natasha, who looked after us so well. We would love to come back.

We stayed at the ‘hippie’ house. A small cabin on the property. Very nice decorated with a private terrace. The cottage is a little damp as it is simply made of wood. This didn’t matter to is. Overall we liked it a lot. The breakfast served is awesome. Natasha, the manager, is very kind and helpful. The location is superb as you can walk to the beach. Ericeira is close by and a very nice town. Overall, a pearl of a location and highly recommended.

I had the most amazing breakfast, beautiful tasty food, full for the day. The decor all made by the owner was so crafty and incredible, exquisite.
