Agriturismo Villa Lupara

I liked the location and the view. The service for breakfast was very good.

We arrived late so we advised to park near the main entrance. The following day we officially checked in. Then later that day when we returned from a day out we were rudely told to move our car and that it was in the way. We were not informed that we needed to move it. I also received an abrupt message asking where we were and that our car needed moving. This was unnecessary, if we had been told in the morning we could not park there we would have happily moved it. Also one night my children went swimming as we had been told the pool didn’t close the we were shouted at because the pool lights were not on but we didn’t know they needed to be on as the pool had lights around it.

Something what is advantage for one, could be disadvantage for others. Here the location makes that you need a car and to get any famous place you need time. On the other hand this location makes that trip to Pompei is just 30 minutes, not 2h like from Amalfi during rush hour. So actually no weak points

I booked this Villa for 4 nights, because it is close to Salerno and there is a swimming pool. This place doesn't have Internet. After my inquiry for the missing internet they promised to check the router, but there was internet only the last night. Every evening there were events at the swimming pool and the music was too loud. We asked them if they could decrease the volume, but nothing changed. We will never be back at this place.

The sea view was nice, set amongst the hills behind Salerno. The lady at breakfast was lovely and very attentive.

The whole place needs a good old tidy up as there's random junk scattered around. Everything feels a bit tired and would benefit from a refurb. The single AC unit isn't sufficient for a two roomed apartment. The staff aren't particularly friendly aside from the lady at breakfast. Dinner was overpriced and underwhelming. The white wine was not as expected. Didn't appreciate being 'reminded' that the pool would be taken over by outside guests the following day having never been informed before. We made plans to make sure that we were not around.

The rooms are old-fashioned and the comfort is basic The sun loungers in the pool are rented out by the day to people from outside the hotel, which means that the pool is overcrowded and you can't sit wherever you like, even if you arrive very early in the morning The restaurant is not recommended either
