The staff were utterly lovely, friendly, and engaged in conversation. The room is immaculate. Perfect temp, excellent facilities, good security. Close to amenities, close to the train station, close to the main Ballarat hub. Plus, a cute tube of mints.

Honestly, nada. Despite being close to train lines, the noise was minimal. There is a little bit of a walk if you want to reach the main Ballarat hub (5 to 10 mins, depending on pace), but Armstrong St is so close it's not worth the cab ride.
