Kubu Indah Guest House

Really cool place. Stayed a week, owners super friendly, invited us to full moon ceremony. Clean, spacious room. Perfect location for island exploration, being in the middle of the island.

Only downside: weak WiFi.

Breakfast was good apparently I was getting 2 people’s breakfast. In the morning - ONLY- I could heat water in the kitchen to make tea.

In the listing these are all UNTRUE: shared kitchen, soundproof, daily housekeeping, bike rentals, coffee house, restaurant, water efficient, water cooler/dispenser, rooftop garden. Not at all true!! The roosters will annoy you starting at 4 am. It’s in the middle of the island. There are no Grab bikes/cars. If you don’t rent a scooter, you are going to have a hard and expensive time getting anywhere. The owner will take you for every rupiah you have… I left 4 days early because of the daily harassment. Wifi is crap. Get your own. The power goes out every morning for an hour.

Mildew on pillows, army of ants in bathroom and terrible, wifi was terrible, power went out most mornings, there are literally a dozen roosters in surrounding properties having arguments from 4am to 4pm. The owner, Made, harassed me DAILY to go on tours. He got in My Face and rubbed his fingers together saying “give me money!” Most of the restaurants “closeby” are not open. You have to use your Translator app with everyone. They do Not understand English. I booked for 2 weeks so I could get some work done and relax. Neither happened. I left, in a terrible mood, 4 days early snd 800k short+

The room was realy nice and spacious. It had a nice terace as well. Everything seems new and well taken care of.

The scooter we rented was in quite bad condition, but okey. We find it odd that everytime we bought water from their warung, they charged different amount for it.

Very friendly owners. Big room, air conditioning, towels, yummy breakfast! The location is great, the inland is very charming and authentic and you have all the great viewpoints just a few minutes scooter ride away. A few Warungs very close by where you can have dinner. Excellent value for money.

They don’t have hot water for the shower, but this was okay for us.
