Lava Hotel

Everything, staff, facilities, location! I left a review for my first stay on this trip but second time around it was great! Our room upstairs on top fllor (Level 3) was bigger than where we initially stayed on ground floor. Food we avoided because of the first stay but im sure at our next visit it will be perfect 😊 and staff as always are great they remembered us and as always, had huge smiles on their faces. Very pleased with our second stay on this trip.

Clean, lovely decor. Beds were comfy. Food was good and all the staff were super friendly and so helpful!

Only thing that ruined our experience/stay was on the first night it was a bit late to go out for dinner so we ordered food at the restaurant, all staff were amazing, the whole vibe and layout was great but when our food arrived, my burger was all good and chips were freshly made, however, the fish and chips my wife ordered was not good at all. Chips were literally like they were scraped off another plate, they were cold, stale and didn't look anything like my hot chips. As for the fish, it was not edible at all, it didn't look like it was thawed out properly and excess moisture removed (pat with paper towel) the inside was either still partially frozen or just soggy and not cooked at all. The whole plate was not edible. The waitress actually walked past us, saw us checking fish and just said....oh yeah basa... then continued to walk away. We were too tired from our flight and didn't want to make a big deal about it so we went halves on my burger and went an got noodles from Farmer Joe afterwards. We were guttered because everything was soooo good but food needs improving. Including breakfast, hash browns were soggy and some looked like they were a few days old and just reheated. Defenitely not edible and pastries maybe a better way to store them to keep them hot? mustve been hot at first but they were wrapped up and so they were all soggy and not very pleasant to eat. This hotel is relatively central in Apia with access to restaurants not far away. The staff were lovely

The property itself is looking a bit tired. It seems to be used more as a short stay hotel after resort stays.

Convenient location in Apia. Very comfortable beds! The staff were lovely and welcoming

I had been staying at the Aggie which is pretty good (not perfect) for Apia, but they were full, so I got a room at the Lava Hotel and they earned my business.

Location

To be honest, the hotel is not kids friendly.

Good location if you want to do things in town. Breakfast was yum

The lift was broken daily.
