Druid House Lodge

The location and it having a unique feeling with the touches incorporated, such as the fire place outside. very spacious too. Inverness in general is so beautiful and the locals too.

Unfortunately the cleanliness was awful. The bathroom was really filthy. Hair around the toilet, dead fly in the cupboard under the sink, extractor fan filled with dust, silicone mouldy, the green bath mat dirty which was nasty placing your feet on after a shower, old coffee pod left in the coffee machine from previous guests. Even the kitchen kettle having a long blonde hair which neither me and my girlfriend have. The lodge requires updating, even the sofa leather is peeling off, walls with marks and patches due to being sanded down but not painted. The stay was uncomfortable and not worth the price paid for this reason. I paid the same price for a higher end room at the Virgin Hotel in the centre of Edinburgh and an Outlander experience apartment in Deans Village which were both spotless and amazing. Then to come to the lodge which I thought would be great with the pictures advertised. It was embarrassing with it being part of a gift for my girlfriend but I just got on with it instead of making a big deal due to the occasion. Please, if you’re renting out again focus on cleanliness, up keep and doing a check in/back. Living next door, even drop a text/email would go a long way given spending 3 nights.

I loved the area. it was clean and felt safe. the area was great for morning walks and enjoying the beauty of the property. the host was wonderful too!

I wished there was a microwave because it sure had every other appliance which was wonderful!
