B&B Hotel Lichtstad

The hotel is very old, the room was ok (for the price I paid) but the bed was really bad! It supposed to be a double bed but in reality it was two single beds together. Because of this there was a „hole“ in the middle of the bed, and the whole night I was falling there. Of course I woke up with the back pain. Overall the experience was ok, just would be really good if the change the bed

Location was great for us as it was a comfortable 20 minute walk to the aquatic center, the reason for our travel. Owner and his son was extremely friendly and made every possible accommodation within their capabilities. This is not a chain hotel. It's more like a small town inn. The bar is decent. It's a short walk to dining and shopping area.

Parking is on the street and you have to be very lucky (we were) to find a spot near the hotel. There's no reserved spots. Families with multiple children beware! Booking.com is misleading and overselling this place. All rooms are max 2 occupants. They don't have extra beds. We booked two rooms and Booking.com stated we needed two rooms. Wife and I had to share the queen size bed with the 9 year old, while the two teenager were sleeping on the other room. Rooms have minimal shelves, no fridge. You will have to live off of the bags.

Location was nice and staff was friendly.

We had 2 rooms and both had a strong sewage smell in the bathrooms.
