Le Masserie Zucaro

The place is so beautiful both regarding its location in the middle of nature with a view of Castel del Monte in the distance and the way it's been refurbished. Rooms are very spacious and the furniture has so much style. I had dinner at the place which was a fantastic meal made almost entirely of homegrown ingredients. And so was breakfast. Very delicious.

I regret I did only plan one night at the place and could't change my schedule. I wish a could have stayed longer.

Perfect location for visiting Castel Del Monte - nicely renovated rooms on a beautiful farm, super friendly and nice host - thanks a ton, Annalisa!!! Highlight was the dinner, super high quality, delicious and all produced locally. Same applies for the breakfast, even for a small number of guests the variety was fantastic.

Die gesamte Anlage einschließlich der übergrossen Zimmer mit Dachterrasse und Terrasse sind toll. Die beiden Damen waren super freundlich und hilfsbereit. Das Frühstück bot alles was man wollte.

Die schlechte Zufahrt. Leider wurden wir erst nach der Buchung darüber informiert, daß das Restaurant geschlossen ist. Weit und breit aber kein anderes in der Nähe ist. So mussten wir einfach ca. 16 km fahren um an einen Supermarkt zu gelangen. Das ist schon sehr ärgerlich. Also vorher erkundigen ob das Restaurant wirklich geöffnet hat. Dies ist uns in anderen Hotels schon öfter passiert.

Diese absolut ländlich gelegene Unterkunft ist außergewöhnlich. Sehr nettes Personal, sehr liebevolles Frühstücksbuffet mit Produkten aus eigenem Anbau. Viel Liebe zum Detail. Abends gab es ein super leckeres 5 Gänge Menue zu dem man Wein aus eigenem Anbau genießen konnte. Wir haben dort auf Grund der Nähe zum Castel del Monte übernachtet. Nach einer sehr schöne Wanderung von 5 km erreichten wir das beeindruckende Castel und konnten nach unserer Rückkehr und einem tollen Essen noch einen Wein auf unserer Terasse mit Blick auf das Castel genießen. Wir konnten sehr ruhig und gut in den Betten schlafen.

Da fällt mir nichts ein.

The food, the rooms, the people! We enjoyed every aspect of our stay, and were sad when we had to move on! Do not skip dinner, its amazing what you get!

Qui tradizione, buon gusto e allegria si fondono alla perfezione con un territorio circostante che rapisce i sensi: vista spettacolare su Castel del Monte, comodamente seduti in giardino o in terrazza, mini appartamento su due piani con tutte le comodità e qualche extra prezioso, come un giradischi con LP, acqua fresca a disposizione, tanto spazio e dettagli artistici che ispirano. Se fate l'esperienza della cena, non resterete delusi dalla notoriamente famosa ospitalità del sud. Qui il quid è dato da uno strepitoso mix di donne che con grande simpatia, ti fanno sentire a casa e nel contempo ospite di riguardo, viziandoti con prelibatezze dolci e salate con prodotti a vero km 0.

We weren’t sure what to expect as we arrived, it’s in the middle of the countryside and extremely quiet, however, the room was excellent and extremely comfortable. Dinner served outside was superb, all home cooked using a lot of their own produce. They produce their own wine and beers and I can highly recommend the rose, it was delicious! We felt extremely comfortable and everybody made us feel very welcome.
