Salt on the Harbour

Location was fantastic Clean and fresh Staff friendly

No parking facilities for guests, had to park and ride as there is no where that accommodates 24hr parking in the town. Noise was an issue 4am start as it's a working harbour wasn't expecting a forklift truck thundering passed several times.

Was nice and clean,comfy bed,nice decor lovely big bath

A bit noisy at morning so kept us awake but other than that lovely stay

Breakfast was good - best porridge ever. Dinner was excellent. Lovely relaxed surroundings overlooking the harbour. Very informal - not really like a hotel, but rooms over the restaurant.

Fruit at breakfast was mainly melon, with a few berries. Would have really liked a bowl of more interesting fruit, including strawberries, which apparently ran out on our second day. No yogurt. Very small gripes - overall both food and accommodations were really good. Carrying our suitcases up the steep flight of stairs to our room was hard on my husband's back! A lift would have been nice (or someone offering to help).

Bed in room 2 base is a bit past its best very creaky when getting in and out

Ideally placed. Efficient and friendly staff.
