The Club Villas Lombok

The staff at the reception, the kitchen, the dining room, the team of cleaners were SUPER nice and efficient. They deserve 10/10! Always had a smile, how nice! The room was very comfortable, cleaned perfectly everyday. Breakfasts were exceptional, particularly the healthy one. The temperature of the swimming pool made it difficult to get out of it, it was sooooo nice. We wanted coconut drinks and the staff kindly got some for us! We highly recommend the boat ride to the Gillis!

This is a place to enjoy quietness and rest, not for parties. A tip box is missing in the dining room, the whole staff deserve tips! Perhaps options to visit the area, boat rides availability, etc, laundry, should be proposed to clients in writing (leaflets)

Amazing villas with excellent service. We stayed at club villas with our family and it was a very pleasant and relaxing experience. The view to the gilli islands is amazing. Loads of pool options on the resort. Kids were running around everywhere. The lunch/dinner staff is amazing. We requested grilled/bbq fish (off menu), and that request was catered to. Breakfast was delivered to the villa should we want. Spa service was okay and reasonably priced. The villas are perfectly south facing sunshine all day long. The villa staff were always on hand. My sister got ill, and they offered to take her to the clinic nearby or call the doctor to the villa. I had sunburn and reception staff provided aloe vera gel and even bought some more to the villa afterwards. Visit to the gilli Islands beaches, and snorkelling is a must when you stay here. Also, a car rental is a must. Driving in the area is okay. Just take it easy and dont follow the crowd/other driver on too much overtaking. If driving back to the villa at night, keep it under 50 kmh locals like to sit on the road 😅

A couple of points for improvement. A folder containing info on activities and things to do on the island/nearby would have been greatly appreciated (sort of a self-service concierge) A bit far away from major cites. We liked this because we had kids with us and just wanted to relax. But mataram is 1hrs away and kuta is 1:30 mins away. Water in the pool/taps is a bit salty, but they provide ample water bottles in the bathroom and the kitchen. Not sure the water quality can change, but we quickly got used to it.

Location is fine. It is at the waterfront but did not see people swim there. Restaurant is nice and room/cabin as well. Spacious. Shower is outside but fine. Staff is friendly. Not sure people stay here for more than a few days.

They have reasonable internet but I not sufficient for work. Only for some occasional email checks or for some internet browsing.

Poor location. Local area primitive & underdeveloped with nothing to do except snorkeling. Too expensive. Poor value for money. The resort is basic (certainly by Bali standards) with few amenities.

The villa layouts are unconventional, split into two sections. The upstairs TV was non-functional, with only beanbag seating available. There are no facilities or convenience stores within a 10-minute drive, making the on-site restaurant your only dining option. Additionally, there is no room service or in-room telephone to contact reception. The private pools are frequently green and unusable until the afternoon. Lastly, the resort offers no entertainment of any kind.

Very nice location and surroundings, private villas with sea view are exceptional! Great swimming Pool as well. Staff is super friendly.

We had 4 nights here in Sekotong. Note that if you are coming from Bali or Sengiggi (more touristy areas) you will need to be relatively 'self sufficent' compared to what you are used to. (no mini marts close, much fewer restaurants, and taxi's are a ripoff - no Bluebirds or meter taxi) Breakfast is delicous, hotel manager (Komang) is nice guy and very helpful for us. Beachfront access makes boat trips easy (Gili Gede, Gili Lahar etc which are all worth visiting and snorkelling. Gili Gede is a fun island to visit, and different on every side (nice beach on north end, interesting local towns throughout). Our room was spacious (just the standard room) Recommend you look at Sundancer (excellent restaurant and beach club).

Hotel pool is not clean enough, as others have said. Don't think I saw anyone swim in it during our 4 day stay? We did not. Club villas was not good value for money - however Sekotong resorts are much higher priced that rest of Bali/Lombok. So perhaps it's average price for region. Some communication barriers with front desk staff (poor english) though they try to help. Resort feels a bit neglected. Gardens are dry, slightly tired feeling about it all
