Seafield House - Donnini Apartments

Very clean, nicely decorated and had just about everything we needed for our weekend. Great location close to the beach and plenty of parking (at least at the weekend, when we stayed). Good communication from the management company from booking right through to leaving.

A couple of small maintenance jobs needed doing - however when I emailed to make them aware they offered to send someone out straight away. We said that wasn’t necessary but it was good to have that offer. The only other thing that would have been helpful is a large cafetière - there was only a one-cup one.

This is a lovely house only a few minutes walk from the beach, and not far from the town centre. The property is newly furnished and decorated . There was everything we needed - decent plates, dishes, cutlery, place mats, etc. Very comfortable beds and good towels and bed linen. The Donini staff were friendly and helpful on contact.

Quirky lay-out - steps up to kitchen and one bedroom and shower room. Steps down to one bedroom, bathroom and film room. The only issue was that several of us had mobility issues and the lack of a hand rail at night was a problem. A hand-rail on each set of stairs would have been great. The heated towel rails in both bathrooms was not working and could not be fixed during our two day stay- these rooms were very cold and not comfortable. A dishwasher would have been great, but we appreciate there was not enough room in the kitchen for this. The cleaning pack was useless- the hand towel did not dry the dishes, and the cloth was not absorbent, dishwashing fluid would not lather.

The apartment was excellent in every respect - exceptionally well presented, very clean and exactly as described.

It was all ideal for our stay in Ayr - I have nothing negative to report.

Spacious...had private parking... everything you need from cooking utensils to the little toiletries if i won the lottery i would love to buy it it felt like home had a great relaxing weekend thanks.

Would have been good to have a tv in bedrooms but apart from that perfect

Location was great, far enough from train stations but easy to walk to. Clean and comfortable. We had a slight issue with the bathroom sink as it was blocked but I believe someone came out to resolve the problem really quickly. The one thing that was lovely was a card and bottle of fizz on arrival, lovely touch thank you. Nicholas at the company was fab when he called us, friendly and helpful. We were up with some business colleagues visiting Royal Troon so this was a great location. Previous guests had damaged the third bedroom carpet with an iron which I found disrespectful, sad to see people mistreating the house. Garden was lovely but sadly it rained a bit for us to get the benefit. Good place and hopefully we will be back.

A tiny thing - whilst tea coffee etc was supplied, a coffee pod machine would have been most welcome for a fresh coffee.

The property wasn't very clean. Dirty plug holes in bathroom sink and shower. Black mould in shower ( en suite). Stains on Duvet. More attention to detail is required.
