ツインの部屋と思っていたら4畳半でした。また別館でした。

The host was very friendly and could talk English well. She gave us a bigger traditional room, which was super nice! We loved the room, which had two futons, microwave, heater, aircon, TV and kitchen. We slept very well, specially enjoying a very rainy day there. We extended our stay two nights later. The host gave us two cups of hot ichijiku, an autumn fruit. She made us feel comfy and happy here!

Having to leave Itoigawa :(

Die Einrichtung ist zweckmäßig und uns hat es uns kaum an etwas gefehlt. Die Unterkunft ist günstig gelegen und sehr gut zu Fuß vom Bahnhof Itoigawa aus erreichbar. Die Gastgeberin ist das Herz und die Seele der Pension und tut alles, um einem einen angenehmen Aufenthalt zu ermöglichen. Das Essen ist reichhaltig, traditionell und sehr gut. Sie geht auch auf Nachfrage problemlos und konsequent auf individuelle Ernährungsbedürfnisse ein. Wir hatten eine fantastische Zeit dort und haben uns fast gefühlt, als hätten wir Familie besucht.

Es gibt eigentlich nichts, das wirklich ins Gewicht gefallen wäre. Die Einrichtung ist etwas in die Jahre gekommen, aber das hat dem Ganzen eigentlich keinen Abbruch getan.

the host was the sweetest. my friend and i only stayed for a night but we really felt welcomed from the moment we stepped through the door. if you want a warm japanese home experience, this really is the place to go. the host even offered to take us to the train station. it really did feel like we were staying at grandmas house! next time i’m in japan, i will definitely have to come back to stay :)
