Sacred Mountain Lodge

Lovely homey cottage, in a great location near the common and a 10 min walk to the Noordhoek village market. Super friendly and helpful owners and staff. Breakfast brought to our private garden we shared with Otto the tortoise (if you can find him!) was a real highlight

Sacred Mountain is situated in a cosy vintage living residential area. The little stream that welcomes and escorts you from entry road through to our lodge, shared a sense of calm and had the decency to see us off on our exit🥰 Our host, P Sam was very accommodating and opened our cottage with a snuggly warm fire. Tha.k you, our stay was enjoyed.

The close proximity of our .neighbour and the unannounced friendly Housekeeper.

Misleading description of the unit. Bathroom literally consists of a shower and a very small toilet, both cramped in a small space. Room is in serious need of maintenance, with cracks in the walls. The sofas are very worn and uncomfortable. Exceptionally poor value for the rate we paid. Nowhere near 4 stars

The location

No rooibos tea, the door didn’t close properly, no conditioner and no hair dryer. There is no way this is a 4 star establishment

Great location. Very nice breakfast. Lodge with little garden to have the breakfast 👌🏻

We arrived around 14:00 and a gardener gave us the bungalow. He was not sure that it was the good one. No other information. When we enter there was a very strong cleaning chemicals product smells (bleach). We went for a visit around and grab a meal, and when we came back around 19:00 there was no electricity … and nobody at the reception …. neither on the phone. Apart other guest in their room there was absolutely no one to help us. We had a dinner with phone lights and spend the night without electricity and a strong smell. When we left still no power. At least the breakfast served at the lodge was perfect. And for the rest of the equipments : - No wifi access as nobody gave us any info. And nobody to inform - Not usable swimming pool (not clean at all) seems to be abandoned And to be noted that the lodge is located next to horses center. Lot of flies.
