Location was convenient to Metro. Tastefully furnished and well-appointed. Felt very safe in area and property despite being a solo female traveller. Staff was very responsive to requests.

The main bed could be more comfy. I prefer a firm mattress so I used the sofa bed instead and it all worked out.

I am writing this review of Akicity Rios Sete. First I will cut to the chase and tell you I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS place as they are cold hearted and do not take care of their guests. My family stayed at roughly 30 booking.com places this summer on a 75 day around the world and didn’t write one bad review. So for me to write a bad review means something. My family of 4 stayed here July 24-July 28 (4 nights). I also booked a second room from July 24-July 27 (3 nights) for another family friend of mine. I made sure that I booked rooms with air condition because I knew it would be hot in Europe and my son has a skin condition that becomes very painful and irritated with sleeping in hot conditions. Upon checking in with a code given to me on July 24 at 6pm, it was immediately clear that the air condition was blowing hot air and something was not right. It was also very hot outside that day, around 93F. I gave it about 30 min with no improvement. Prior to checking in, I was given a contact person on WhatsApp to contact if I had any issues with my stay. As soon as we knew our air condition was not working properly, I messaged him on WhatsApp with no response. I proceeded to call their phone number to speak to someone since I was not getting a response. I talked to a lady and said that it was too late to do anything about this and that she would report the issue and I would be given a response the next day (July 25) concerning my issue. That evening (July 24) was extremely difficult to sleep as it was very hot. We had to open the window, which didn’t help much, and was exposed to intense sunlight in the morning, as well as street noise that awakened us at 6am. The next morning (DAY 2), 7/25/24, I received a text on whatsapp from another person, named Miguel. He informed me that they are arranging a maintenance team to fix the air condition. The Apartment was comfortable and close to a Train station and metro line.

There was no one in attendance give us entry and show us the facilities. We had an issue with the door lock and after phoning received instructions via email on how to open the door. This was not ideal as it took quite a time to be resolved. We also did not like having a security deposit which we had to transfer to them for it to be returned 10 days after we left the property. Most security deposits are held with the cash not actually being transferred. We thus incurred additional transaction fees both ways and were exposed to currency fluctuation risks.

I paid for the deposit 150 €, so when i did the check out they didn’t even respond with me. Moreover, they didn’t refund it.
