Noise from other rooms till 2am. Party time

Die Lage ist super, die Gastgeberin sehr freundlich.

Leider haben wir das Bett in der ersten Nacht nicht sauber vorgefunden. Die Gastgeberin war aber sehr nett und hat das am nächsten Morgen sofort geklärt. Zudem haben wir auch Kakerlaken gesichtet. Das Zimmer war nicht besonders einladend, vor allem wenn das Wetter nicht mitspielt hat man nicht so viel Möglichkeiten sich gut darin aufzuhalten. Das Bad roch unserer Meinung nach auch nicht sehr angenehm.

So after the first night my lower legs started itching terribly. After the second night it was worse. We left early. I noticed what appeared to be mosquito bites, however on the way home my travelling companion complained of the same itching. It’s Tuesday night and the photos show the marks I mean. A nurse I know has suggested it’s either bed lice or bed bugs that have caused this. The itching has been unbearable and since being home there’s been no further bites or itching which has finally stopped. So the problem is clearly related to the premises. Not happy. Just to add the place is tiny and the toilet leads out to the kitchenette where two people can’t move past each other. The dining table has four seats but I challenge anyone to fit four people in the space provided. Absolutely the worst place I’ve ever stayed in Clarens. I don’t expect anything back but definitely would not return here or recommend anyone going there.

The hotel is very well located in the very center of town. We checked in late, but that wasn't a problem. The hosts were very helpful, and they helped us choose hiking routes, which turned out to be truly amazing. The room itself was clean and cozy, and the internet worked well.
