The street noise may bei too loud for sensitive people

We booked the biggest room which has a nice covered terrace, and it’s spacious enough for 2 persons. Even though the building is close to the main road, there were absolutely no issues with noise. There are little shops and plenty of restaurants nearby, and the beach is also very close.

We loved the lush garden and nice patio in front of the room. The room was cozy and the bed was comfortable. There is a beautiful tapestry with elephants over the bed. Our room had a toaster and a ketlle available, along with some tea and drinks - we thought that we won't need it but we ended up using it a lot. The accommodation is close to beach. Cleaning lady came almost every day giving us two new bottles of water in the fridge which is decently large. There is plenty of hangers around the room where you can put your stuff and you get plenty of towels.

When we arrived, there was a blonde short haired girl that was very unpleasant and did not welcome us like usual (nothing special, just smile and hello would be just fine - that would be apparently too much to ask). This behaviour continued for the whole stay. There is also noone that can at least moderately speak or understand English. Every single thing we needed to know our wanted had to be communicated in show / hand signal kind of way. It was incredibly frustrating. For example they did not understand at all when I asked if the tap water was safe (to drink, to brush teeth) and had to show three times the towel to ask for additional beach towels. After that the battery in safe died so we were not able to get things out, but that was fixed quite fast. There was no information about when will the cleaning lady come and no help at all when we asked about Phuket, places to go or markets, hoping they would recommend. You are on your own. In the room there was hotel-like system which unplugs all electricity from the room (with the noble exception of fridge) which means you never get to charge anything while you are out. Bathroom wasn't terrible but not exactly great either. On toilet the washing hose has too sensitive control, resulting either with only a trickle or all-out car-wash power jet. Many things are damaged or sloppy and could be fixed with very little effort... Somebody painted the bathroom ceiling but somehow forgot the edges and also forgot to wash the paint from the tiles... about ten years ago. There was huge chunk of ice inside the freezer part of fridge. On the door there's an unused lock noone bothered to remove - they use American lock system on the doorknob. Mosquitoes going through the net in the bathroom window. Mosquito repellent is of course in the socket that turns off when you leave - and you have to turn it on manually (we found out after getting bitten a lot). These are the little things that we simply could have been told.

Staff told us that the restaurant opens for breakfast at 9am. On both mornings we were there, nobody was there at 9 so we went elsewhere.

Bad isolation and location is next to a big road.

Nice small hotel right on Kamala Beach, can walk to the beach barefoot. Very friendly staff with guest oriented attitude. When the air conditioner broke down in our room, we were immediately moved to another room.

Hotel is close to the road and tuk-tuk passing by at night with all it accompanied noises can be annoying for some.
