Very welcoming, friendly and homely. Nothing was too much trouble. The room was comfortable and spotlessly clean. Would be very willing to stay here again.

"Exceptional"

Really great, friendly staff who were extremely helpful and often realised what we needed before we did! Room was recently decorated, comfortable and really clean, and complete with homemade shortbread. Food was hearty and tasty and the pub itself is super cosy and comfortable. We only stayed as a stopover on a long drive but would have stayed longer otherwise.

Food was excellent, best crème brûlée I’ve ever had 😋 The pub had a lovely setting, would definitely recommend it 😊

"Another Night away"

A hidden Gem. Very Friendly Welcome. Very Good food and ales. Staff very friendly and helpful. I made the mistake of following the sat nav which took me down single track roads(with passing places) at night. Next time i would use the B Road from Exeter , at one stage i had to reverse 200/300 yards with the car facing me blinding headlights - so i could not see
