Lovely staff, great vibe. Incredible food . Beautiful pool

Wet, smelly mouldy bathroom and toilet. Door in dorm room not sealed closed. Large gap in sliding door. Toilet and shower cleaned every day but noone can be bothered cleaning the mould. It’s disgusting.

Where to even begin? Our stay at Cocovana was a complete nightmare. We were misled by the high ratings and the beautiful views, which turned out to be the only "good" thing about this place. First and foremost, the lack of hygiene is appalling. The level of FILTH is unacceptable: stained bedsheets, old towels full of mysterious spots, and animal droppings in the shower. There were dead and live insects everywhere; we even had cockroaches crawling around us in the bathroom. The furniture and linens are ancient, worn out, and look like they haven’t been replaced in years. Communication with the staff is another disaster. They only reply a couple of times a day. We had to arrange our own transport to leave because they simply stopped responding to our messages after we tried to confirm a van. While the food at the restaurant is "okay," it is far from good. We seriously considered switching hotels after the first night. However, because the location is so remote and the logistics are so complex, we chose to stay out all day and only drive back late at night just to avoid spending a single extra minute inside the property. I do not recommend this place at all. Save your money and your health—stay somewhere else.

The villa is located right next to the main chill area which can be a bit loud at occasions. Not a big issue though

Best Pool on the Island! Clean and enjoyable with a great sunset. If you are gonna chill there then this is the place to be! Great view. Yummy food and super friendly staff. Very much built into nature - so you might come across lizards, crabs or frogs on the grounds. Accommodation offers shuttle service and organises your bus ride if needed (in the bus working hours). Down to earth and rustical.

Make sure to bring what you need! This is far off and I did not attempt to find a shop or anything around. Make sure to inform them via Message what time you will arrive - since it is further out you need to check how to get there - the hostel provides information for that. I stayed in a private and common room. To be in the common room you should not be picky - it is simple. Locker available. The electrical outlets looked rather unprofessional. AC very loud but does a good job. Not a good place for day trips, since you have to get back into the city for it (extra cost for rides). Bring a sleeping Mask - the curtains do not shut out light.
