Staff was incredible. Rooms were so clean and newly renovated. The rooms were renovated with a “minimalist” look and functionality. Minimalist is a very good trait. The location was perfect for walking to all shops, restaurants, and attractions. The breakfasts were unbelievable. Each day a new feature, all locally sourced. If you are looking to stay in Ortesei, stay at the Casa al Sole!!! You will not be disappointed.

My stay at Casa Al Sole was an absolute pleasure. From the moment I arrived, it was clear that every aspect of the hotel had been designed with exceptional attention to detail. The ambient lighting, thoughtfully integrated environmentally friendly systems, and overall organisation create an atmosphere that feels both refined and welcoming. A special mention must go to the owner, Alexandria, who was absolutely lovely throughout my stay. Her warmth, hospitality, and genuine care for guests are reflected in every part of the experience. She helped make my visit feel personal and memorable, and it is clear that her passion for hospitality is at the heart of what makes Casa Al Sole so special. The staff were outstanding throughout my stay. They were warm, knowledgeable, and always willing to help, offering excellent recommendations on local activities, mountain destinations, and e-bike rentals that helped me make the most of my time in the area. The complimentary breakfast featured a diverse and high-quality selection of options, catering to a range of tastes while maintaining a fresh and authentic feel. What stood out most was the hotel’s rich family atmosphere. Despite its boutique size, Casa Al Sole delivers an experience that rivals many luxury resorts. Every detail feels intentional, from the beautifully arranged tables and tablecloths to the crockery, cutlery, and overall presentation throughout the property. There is a genuine sense of care and precision behind everything they do. I would wholeheartedly recommend Casa Al Sole to anyone looking for a comfortable, authentic, and high-quality stay. Whether you’re visiting for adventure, relaxation, or simply to experience the beauty of the region, this hotel provides the perfect balance of boutique charm, personalised service, and resort-level quality. Thanks to Alexandria and her team, Casa Al Sole feels less like a hotel and more like a home away from home. I would gladly stay here again.

Casa al Sole was an incredible place to stay—Manuel and Alexandra made us feel completely at home from the moment we arrived. The property is beautifully renovated with a design that feels both cozy and modern, and every detail is thoughtfully maintained. Breakfast each morning was a highlight, with delicious options, different croissant fillings every day, and excellent jams and butter. As skiers, we especially appreciated the immaculate ski room with heated boot racks so our boots were warm and ready each morning. The lounge area is very comfortable for relaxing after a day on the slopes, and the spacious parking area made everything easy. The beds and pillows were extremely comfortable, and having laundry service available (for a small fee) was very helpful after long ski days. Manuel and Alexandra also gave fantastic local recommendations for restaurants and ski parking, which made the trip even better. And of course, Jack—their adorable Australian Shepherd—was the cutest mascot.

Honestly not much!

Manuel and Alexandra are the soul of Casa al Sole. Casa al Sole felt like home for our week of skiing--the breakfasts were amazing, the happy hours were very happy, and the honors bar made us feel at home. The ski gear room was handy, and the location was great for skiing the Sellaronda and for apres town access. We greatly appreciated the ample onsite parking. Manuel provided fantastic culinary direction for dinners, and Alexandra was a wealth of information for outdoor adventures. They made our vacation in Ortisei special, and we look forward to returning.

Really, nothing could be better. Perhaps the addition of a sauna, but I'd trade the hospitality of Casa al Sole for a spa any day.
