"If You're "In-Town" Longer than Planned, In-Town Suites are Ok"

6.0

Due to my traveling life-style, I've often stayed at extended stay hotels. This is not the best nor the worst of them. While some extended stays offer you breakfast and weekly cleaning with fresh linens and a kitchenette with utensils for cooking and eating, In-Town Suites (ITS) does not. ITS provides you a decently appointed room w/ large TV, bureau, a nice bathroom, a kitchenette (bring or buy your own cooking equipment. There is a Wal-mart and a Target within walking distance), a refrigerator, microwave and cook-top). They say they clean 1x/week. However, depending on who you get, some cleanings will be better than others. Oh, and you will be responsible for cleaning your towels for the length of your stay-they don't provide clean ones weekly. They do have a wash-it-yourself laundry room, that you have to pay $2 for a card first and then you can add money to it (a rip-off, I think). Out of the 2 ITS in the area, I think this one is the most convenient to public transportation and commerce (a Starbucks is on the corner). You can walk to the Mall, if you don't mind a bit of a walk (maybe a mile) and a plethora of restaurants. The cleaning personnel were nice. The property itself was maintained and clean. I felt safe and comfortable. It's not luxury living by any means, but comparative to other options, it was the most economical for an extended stay. They could step things up a notch by providing fresh towels and appointing the room with cooking equipment, but overall, it was alright.

"Ask about the suicide room."

2.0

If you want to be treated like a second-class citizen, especially by the "manager" Steve Gibbs, then Intown Suites East is the place for you! You'll enjoy such amenities as: your friendly manager Steve Gibbs who treats everyone, tenant & employee alike in the most condescending manner imaginable, paper-thin walls that allow you hear everything and everyone, stained and soiled carpets, bedding, and towels, an all pervasive stench that is a combination of various body-odors and highly toxic/flammable cleaning products, the helpful "courtesy officer" who acts as if he is monitoring a cell block, all this and the knowledge that you're paying for it! If you must stay, which I would advise against, ask about the suicide room, maybe you'll get a discount. But knowing good ole Steve Gibbs, I kinda doubt it!

"Tsk Tsk Tsk..Shame on you InnTown Suites!!"

2.0

Day 1- The bathroom: The toilet reeked of urine. The floor was filthy. The towels provided had long reddish-brown hair on them. The carpet was dirty. I purchased cleaning supplies- (Bleach, Pine Sol& Scrubbing bubbles)- and I went to work on the unit. After cleaning with the washcloths that was provided- I snapped pics for proof. I call the front desk "The Manager" Steve & informed him of the situation & asked if he could send someone to vacuum the floor- and he said after he informed me that he just inspected the room before I checked in- "I'm sorry No your cleaning day is on Wed"- lol considering I just checked in. I was enraged by then. He actually acted like he didn't believe me. So, I went to the front ofc to show him the pics of the clothes & carpet filth. He stated that he was sending someone to vacuum. My suggestion to InnTown Corp 'INVEST IN A PROFESSIONAL CLEANING COMPANY. Word of advice- stay somewhere else for your extended stays!

"It's cheap"

4.0

The price is right but you get what you pay for. There are no Non- smoking rooms needless to say if your not a smoker you will smell it on the sheets and furniture. They let you check the room first to see if you like it. I had to walk back and fourth four times before a found a room I could tolerate.

"Horrible conditions with roaches, body odor, and bad service."

2.0

I would not board my dogs in this place. The beds are so worn out, your body aches when you are get up. Don't even consider putting anyone on the pull out sofa (love seat), which consists of a sheet pulled over springs. They give you one roll of toilet paper no matter how long you stay. It smells, it has roaches, and the manager is rude and worthless. Erica at the front desk is nice with a good skill set, and Wayne (probably maintenence) are super nice but have nothing to work with. THE PLACE IS A DUMP!

"Exactly what we needed"

10.0

This is the 3rd time we have stayed here while my husband did temporary work in Soddy Daisy. The rooms are sufficient for our needs. I am really happy with the location due to the fact we have only 1 car and my husband uses it. I am able to walk to just about anything I need and more. The staff are all above what is expected. I was especially impressed with Steve Gibbs and Brianna (I had the most dealings with them). They were always smiling and went out of their way to make sure our stay was pleasant. Even when there was occasionally someone else in the office they were always courteous and friendly. Steve went out of his way to accommodate any special needs we had. With my husband working 3rd shift, we requested a late cleaning schedule and had no problems with it all. We plan on staying here as long as my husband comes down to Tennessee for work. I give them the highest recommendation. Susan Johnson, Michigan

"Horrible!!"

2.0

If you are looking for friendly decent service than save your money and go elsewhere. This place is the worst.First of all Steve the front desk guy acts like he is doing you a favor by letting you stay there.his attitude is rude and hatefull,he acts like he is dealing with a disobeying child so he speaks in a demeaning and condescending tone. Also the creepy maintence guy follows you around as if he is a warden at a jail, watching as if he waiting for you to do something wrong. My husband and I pulled up one night in the parking lot after getting some groceries and was just sitting there talking for a few minutes ,when the "Courtesy Officer" came over shining a flashlight in the car saying we need to get in our room!Absoulty ridiculious! We paid good money for our room it is outrageous they treat people like prisoners in a jail,so out of line, disrespectful. Also the maids and maintence guy and steve will come rudely banging on your door at all hours for dumb random things. So sleeping during the day is out if you work third shift. Also want to say that most of the people that stay there are more times than not going through a hard time, especially if staying long term like we did(we were there during Christmas) and deserve decent treatment not blatant disrespect being treated like a slave/prisoner.Needless to say we will NEVER stay at this hotel again.
