Lodge Strand (The)

The one staff member, who welcomed us, was very nice.

It was disappointing that there was a huge extra charge for the use of the hot tub, which was not advertised. The en-suite bathroom of our room had no door, so absolutely no privacy. Although the bed was comfortable, the bedding need some serious changes. There was no extra blankets. The “free” toiletries was a bar of lux soap, and some blue gel like substance, we assume was a handwash, decanted into a small screw top bottle which was awkward to use. The shower is a hand shower over the bath, with no bath plug… so soaking in a bath is not an option even if you ask for one, which they gladly gave us, but the water flows from the tap slowly, so hoping to fill a bath is out of the question. The only positive thing I can say, is the staff member, Precious. She was kind and accommodating.

Everything was easy to find .. the place was clean .. the bed and couch was very comfortable.. the bathroom was very nice and comfortable not to small

There was no kitchen cloths.. the bed was quite noisy.. there wasn’t alot of coffee and tea ..

Not a very clean room. Nice and comfortable bed though. Microwave doesn't have a glass plate in it and the part that it sits on is bent and the door was still dirty. Bathroom tiles are black from mould and the corners of floor is still dirty.

Its was very quiet an peaceful and staff very friendly and helpful.

The only bad thing was the TV, we love watching movies and there was not alot movies options to choose from

Location was ok and bedding was fine,

The water was cold to bath and shower. There was no spoons or plates.
