Arushi Boutique Hotel

I booked this hotel during the black friday discounts, so decided to upgrade to the Penthouse suite (floor 8 !) for not much more than one of the other rooms. The room was really nice, very big and with a seperate bath and shower. I did have some issues with the hot water to the shower, but it seemed that if I ran the hot tap in the sink for a while then ran the shower it worked ok. I must say that I forgot to mention this to reception, as I had forgotten about it until now ! My balcony with seating was really nice to sit out in the afternoons. The only downside to this hotel - or maybe floor 8, is the music from the other hotels, because I was up higher than most of them, it was very loud, and went until 2 or 3am all 3 nights that I stayed. If you were downstairs, approaching the hotel you could not hear it, and then up on the 8th you could, as if it was close, although it was not coming from the Arushi. I did not mention this to the hotel because I don't see that they will be able to do anything about it. It did not bother me, although it may bother a light sleeper. Im guessing if you ask for a lower floor it wont matter. This was a lovely place despite that, and was near lots of food places. I would stay here again if I come back to Katmandu.

Great staff - so helpful, even managed to let us check in early, and organised a laundry load between our visits.

I loved the friendliness of the staff, the location and especially the roof top bar and the excellent cocktails made by the lovely barman - the views at sunset sipping a cocktail were very special. The room was comfortable though the shower was a little run down - it still did the trick

Like many others I was in a room which was facing a club which played very loud music until 5 in the morning Friday to Monday, which is not great when trying to deal with jet lag and having trouble to sleep
