Candlewood Suites - Las Vegas - E Tropicana by IHG

Nice hotel. Clean. Easy check in. Comfortable room. But... prepare to add 12-15% to your bill for the hidden parking fee that is not included in your rez. The hotel has a near-empty parking lot the size of Rhode Island, but squeezes arriving guests an eye-popping parking fee when they arrive. Vegas is bleeding visitors and bookings are down. Part of the cause of the down turn: hotels constantly dinging guests for never-ending hidden fees. Hospitality means treating guests with respect: in other words, be honest and upfront! Not sneaky. Something that Candlewood Suites has not yet wrap their heads around. It wasn't the money, it was the sneaky way they just casually added it to the bill. Annoying. I'll look for another hotel next time.

Place was very clean and well kept. I like how you have to use a key to get into the building felt more secure.. pet friendly. Lobby has a small snack food section just a bit overpriced. Free coffee and tea.. room was super neat and clean very spacious it included a kitchen, fridge, stove, microwave and cooking utensils. Sofa turned into a bed and a recliner seat aswell. Restroom was clean well kept.. pool area was great there's grills for BBQ and seating area.. no glass bottles allowed can is ok.. hotel is also close to the strip walking distance to mgm, Luxor, newyork new York, and Excalibur.

Overpriced water and snacks. :(

I arrived early, the room was being serviced by maintenance. The dishwasher was out of service, th e room was smaller than expected, our shower drain wax clogged the entire stay, no same day room service, had to wait 30 minutes for bath towels, some hotel staff was freindly whereas, others were flat in tone, and lacked professional personal social skills. This was my birthday trip....it wasn't a pleasant stay and i will not be returning to anh of Candlewood establishments.

Spacious clean rooms in better condition than most strip hotels at similar price point. Walkable to strip.

Staff and accommodations in the room were great

Something minor but wasn't giving the code for the restroom in the pool area

- Big room (34 sq meters) having 2 queen size beds & kitchen. - 10 min walk to the strip. - Free washing/drying machines. - 24-hour coffee machine. - No resort fees.

Excellent service！

I liked that it was close to the venue where we were attending the NBA Summer League games.

I didn't like that our room was unexpectedly downgraded to a one-bed suite when I purchased a two-bed suite to accommodate a family of four. The sad thing about is that I am an IHG gold member. We were given two small rolling beds for the inconvenience. Basically, for a family of four, I paid the 2-bed suite price for a 1-bed suite and two uncomfortable rolling twin beds.

It was a nice stay. They were having a little technicalties, it seemed, while we were checking in, but the person checking us in was very apologetic & it wasn't really that bad of a delay. The room was specious & it was really nice having a full fridge with a freezer. Very comfy beds too.
