Casa Pancho Playa

For the price, this place was perfectly adequate. The room was spacious and the mattress firm and comfortable. The A/C worked, as did the fan. The place was secure and the lady working there very friendly (Spanish only, though).

We only had one major complaint: The bathroom is constantly flooded as the shower has no frame so the whole bathroom floor is the shower floor. Haven't seen one of those in a while. Water pressure was good though and we had hot water. The breakfast is a very simple affair, do not expect much - fine for the price paid.

Great place to relax and enjoy the hot afternoons by the pool in a more quiet environment than the beach. Room was clean. Coffee was good in the morning. Breakfast was simple, but it's always nice to have something like that in the morning ready to go. The lady in charge of cleaning and breakfast was always friendly. Having access to a fridge for fruits & cold beverages was great! The room had everything we absolutely needed. Air conditionning & wifi worked well. Kind of an in between a B&B and a hostel, as new comers came regularly and the common area around the pool with tables was a good place to connect with other travellers. Guests were a mix of foreigners & Mexican families.

The check-in process was a bit confusing. The building kind of looks like nothing on the outside and you need the code to get in. Luckily, we knocked on the door and could call the person in charge who then sent us the codes through booking.com as we didn't have whatsapp. I wish the codes would have been sent to us directly without having to call as it would have made checking-in easier. The bed was big, but not super comfortable. The room could use some extra hooks or something to hang clothes, towels, etc. The bathroom looked like it used to have a miror, but got removed. The was no hammock like in picture advertised, which I was looking forward to using, but instead there were several tables to sit at, which was nice for breakfast.

Really nice pool space and lots of tables. Massive room with en suite bathroom. Best hot water and pressure in any Mexican shower! Kind and helpful staff. Loved the little book exchange as well.

Bed was also huge but a bit hard and springy. Could be upgraded. Bikes are available for free guest use, but they need some serious TLC!

Good stay. Would stay here again.
