Winery Hotel 1870

Quaint Boutique Hotel with beautiful suite like, cool rooms. Ours had a private closed off hot tub in th room. Facilities were really nice. Staff was prompt with time promised for breakfast to the room. Provided transportation pickup and departure arrangement. Walking distance to heart of Santorini. Highly Recommend

Amazing hotel. Large and spacious room and balcony with private hottub. Staff were excellent - they brought our luggage in from the street and carried it up and down stairs for us, and the owner was lovely as well. Breakfast was served in the room and was generous and delicious. The annoying part was the multiple loud phone calls in the morning. We chose a breakfast time on the order slip, but they still called in the morning to confirm that they were bringing breakfast. We wanted to rest and nap again after breakfast but were woken up with a phone call to ask when we would like housekeeping. And then another one to ask when our breakfast trays were ready to be collected. Very uneccesary and disrupts our peace. Apart from that, I would highly recommend. We moved to another 'premium' hotel in Oia afterwards and wished we hadn't as it was nowhere near as good.

The property praises itself with 24-hour assistance but we could not find anyone and neither could reach anyone via phone when we got locked outside our room in freezing cold at midnight wrapped in wet towels. We went to check outside jacuzzi after almost suffocating in the inside jacuzzi. We didn't get severe health implications from freezing only because we run into two strangers who gave us their clothes & whisky to warm us.Theodor gave us keys but didn't tell that rooms get locked automatically.He showed up only 2 hours later and instead of an apology he said that he doesn't know how we managed to lock the room!! Such attitude was absolutely disgusting! On top of that, they use some toxic chemicals in inside jacuzzi which caused shortness of breathing and severe burning in the eyes for me and my daughter after 2 minutes in jacuzzi. It was scary. I asked to drain water from jacuzzi in our suite because the vapor of that chemical was getting even into our bedroom and I felt slight burning in the eyes and nose. when I slept. They refused to drain water from our bathtub jacuzzi. And no, it wasn't an allergic reactions as I have no allergies. I suspect, they add the same thing to the outside pools but because the pool is outside, the toxic vapor doesn't affect mucous membranes as much. Plus, there are no bubbles as in the case with jacuzzi. Never again we will stay in this property. The two day stay was a complete nightmare!! Thanks to the strangers for saving our lives.

Great experience the location was excellent. Staff was very kind and accommodating. Breakfast in your room was an absolute treat!

Great service, great location, beautiful hotel

The room is excellent the hotel staff are very very friendly. Last minute our cab(welcome pickup) got cancelled. I contacted hotel staff they arranged cab for us within 1 hour notice. Very walkable to all the restaurants in Fira. The Fira view, cable car, 3 bells etc are just behind the hotel. Melanie and Regina are always there to help us.

Great - hot tub not hot but warm. And still nice to have in our room! Awesome service and hospitality.
