Minh Toan SAFI Ocean Hotel

This hotel is close to the Da Nang city centre so you can get to anywhere you want for a short time, and also the My Khe beach is just across the street so just like 2 minutes for you to get there. The staffs were super friendly in helping me all my questions or needs, and also were sorry for a bit delay in checking me in as it was so crowded with many guests checking in and out at the same time. The room is clean, spacious, fancy and has a nice view like in the photos. The pool on the top floor (22nd perhaps) has an amazing view of My Khe beach. The Breakfast is okay with many options from western to asian.

Well, I like most things here. However, I know that I shouldn’t expect much, but for this hotel at this price and range, I expected to have some assistance with my luggages when I arrived at the hotel. But when I got off from the taxi, there was a guy who helped me to bring my luggages down the car…and that’s it. He disappeared, and I had to drag my bag and luggages from the outside up to the stairs to the main hall and to the reception area without any help or assistance (the luggages were heavy for stair tho). After check-in, I also had to bring my luggages to my room by myself. I mean, I could do it by myself, but the way I had to bring all my luggages from the taxi to the room on my own when staying at the hotel considering as pretty luxury and high fare was kinda not reasonable. Maybe hotel should assign more bell staffs for high season like summer.

Breakfast was good and the staff there were warm and welcoming. Room was good and view was really good.

When we arrived, there were no staff to help carrying the bags over the steps at front. Also at the checking there was this guy, he was unfriendly and almost felt like we are not welcomed. But the girl there was very friendly and trying to help, but she had the language barrier, but she did her best without the help of the guy there.

Room had a smell and there were stains on the chair. Walls were bashed by suitcases. Bathroom had very basic amenities. We didn’t stay as the room was horrible.

Our room was comfortable, clean, and modern with a great view. The breakfast was a highlight with a huge selection of well presented quality food. The pool was also a highlight with a bar. The shower was hot with great water pressure.

My husband struggled to get hot strong coffee despite explaining what he wanted and using a translation app. The staff were very polite however.
