Canmore Alpine Hostel - Alpine Club of Canada

The location is amazing — right in the mountains and perfect for hiking, skiing, or just enjoying the natural beauty of Canmore. The hostel has a cozy, rustic vibe that feels authentic and outdoorsy. The dorms and private rooms were clean and comfortable, and the communal kitchen made it easy to prepare meals. The staff were helpful and knowledgeable about local trails and activities, which was a big plus. Free Wi-Fi and on-site parking added convenience, and the overall atmosphere is friendly and welcoming, especially for solo travellers or groups looking for an active adventure.

The rooms are tiny, which can feel cramped, especially if you have a lot of luggage. The bathrooms are a bit basic and could use some updating. The heating in some rooms was inconsistent, and noise from other guests can be noticeable at times, so light sleepers might want earplugs. Overall, it’s a great place for outdoor enthusiasts and budget travellers, but don’t expect luxury, spacious rooms, or full privacy.

The reception didn’t answer when we needed help when we arrived at the location passed the check in time at night, called the number given but no answer, the Lady was talking to the other customer and gave our code to the other guy who keep on asking me how much did we pay for our stay.

Les espaces commune sont magnifique et propre. La vue est superbe.

Alles war super gut und sehr sauber. Die Lage ist wunderschön, da fühlt man sich richtig wohl in Kanada! Ich möchte mich bei den personal ,insbesondere bei Franziska herzlich bedanken und für die Hilfsbereitschaft! Ich würde immer wieder gerne kommen!

Es gibt nichts, was mir nicht gefallen hat . Alles war super!

No privacy . There should be curtains for each beds .
