The entire accommodation was sub standard. It was advertised as 4 star accommodation. In reality it was only 1. It was dark, damp, smelly, dirty & dingy. Paid €1050 for two nights and left after one.

Very clean and comfortable. Excellent location as we were attending a family wedding in Castlemartyr Resort. Anna, the property manager, was very helpful and the price was very reasonable.

The kitchen/communal area is somewhat small and dark but considering it is a renovated old building, that is a minor concern. The courtyard could do with power hosing and weeding, but again a minor concern.

The best thing was the price, which was much better than other places nearby. The location was nice, with beautiful nature around. The host, Anna, was very friendly and helpful. The beds, bed linen, and towels were very clean and comfortable.

The house was quite damp, especially because one wall was built against an old stone wall. The hallway wall was very damp to the touch. Before our arrival, we asked the host to turn on the heating for us. However, when we arrived late at night, it was cold, raining, and extremely windy outside, and the heating had only been on for a short time. The radiators were just lukewarm, so the house was still cold. The first night, it was only 14°C inside. Luckily, there were portable heaters, so we used those to warm up the rooms. It took us until the next day to figure out how to use the main heating. After that, the house was much warmer. At the end, we paid an extra €27 for heating. Before arrival, we paid a €200 deposit. Overall, the house could have been cleaner. We noticed some dirt in the bathrooms and kitchen, as well as webs on the high ceilings. It seemed like the cleaning was not very thorough, possibly because the house is not used much during the winter. Hot water was sometimes a problem. When five people showered one after another, the last person only got very hot, almost boiling water. In the upstairs bathroom, we never got hot water in the shower, even after running it for 10 minutes. The instructions said that the water needed time to travel up through the pipes, but unfortunately, this did not work and the water stayed cold.

we did not have water for two days and the host was not interested in helping to resolve the issue. Simply saying it was out of their control, we where working on-site and arriving back not able to get washed. They had no interest in trying to get us alternative accommodation with running water. No toilets and No showers

It had everything for a comfortable stay. Location is beautiful. Plenty of space.
