Canopy By Hilton San Antonio Riverwalk

This elegant hotel made our trip. Our dog Melvin also gives it two paws up. Quiet and tight on the river walk. You’ll want to stay one day longer. We do.

I absolutely loved my stay. The view, the amenities, the $18 daily credit for drinks/ food at Domingo. The champagne for two on 3rd floor, the views from that floor is nice. The restaurant food was amazing surprisingly, we went for brunch and they fit me and my fiancé in last minute. I enjoyed this place, from all my stays, this is one of my top favorites and I stay at A LOT of hotels. The restrooms are updated, I love the layout of separating the bedroom and restroom by that added barn door. Everything was quick and easy, location is perfect as well as it’s near the Alamo, bars, restaurants, sight see and walking distance to the river walk. I couldn’t have chosen a better spot. The location was amazing. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The cost was effective. Very nice property on the riverwalk. Central to everything. We were there for a volleyball tournament and it was walking distance to the convention center and to parking lots that were under 10.00 per night. I refused to valet for 65.00 a night -that would have been my only negative is the price of parking at hotels in today's economy. However, there was a parking lot for 5.00 per day. So for 3 days I was there - I only paid 10.00 for parking and found a street parking for free on Sundays.

The services

Great hotel. Part of Hilton boutique brand. Excellent location on the riverwalk & a friendly welcome. We had a corner room 8th floor with a side view of riverwalk. Nice. Remember that conventional high floor is better does not work on the riverwalk since it’s so high you can’t see the water. The “resort fee” is fairly useful $18 towards breakfast or drinks in hotel. I’m a Hilton gold member so additional $25/day credit. Great. Domingo restaurant on the riverwalk very nice . Otro terrace bar 1 floor up overlooking riverwalk very nice with included champagne cocktail. . Valet parking $70/nt ! and we observed very slow at check out. We parked at city tower multi story $10/ day 5 mins walk. In conclusion a solid choice.

The location is fantastic. The staff were really nice and provided great service. The room was comfortable.

The ice machine on our floor did not work during our stay.

Great location, room, valet, staff and restaurant but won’t stay again due to the following: - Extremely slow elevators at all points of the day - Lack of hot water in shower (like warm at best) Had it not been for these items - it would have been a good stay - but unfortunately these are major inconveniences.
