Pohorje Village Wellbeing Resort – Wellness & Spa Hotel Bolfenk

I stayed here for a wedding, at Hotel Videc. Room was clean and comfortable, food for the whole weekend was excellent, both hotel breakfast/dinner and the event food too. Staff were always very friendly and helpful, but unfortunately the hotel bar closes at 9 (so the staff can get home on the last cable car). Wedding was amazing, ceremony in the forest was beautiful, which was then followed by the reception and party in the Hotel Videc events room and terrace. Great space, with the lovely backdrop of the forest.

The pool area was fantastic – the water was the perfect temperature, and the jacuzzi was a real treat. We also enjoyed the variety of saunas available. The hotel is in a great location, just a 5-minute walk from the cable car, making it easy to explore the area. My child loved the playroom, and we were surrounded by stunning nature the entire time.

"Unfortunately, our experience with the food was not the best. On our first night, the buffet included chicken wings that were clearly spoiled. We brought it to the waitress’s attention, and she confirmed we were right, apologized, and said they had been removed — but it left a very bad impression right at the start of our stay. A few days later, I also noticed mold forming on cut grapefruit served at breakfast. Additionally, many breakfast items like yogurt, milk, and cold cuts were not kept chilled, even during a heatwave with temperatures around 30°C. It's hard to fully relax on vacation when you're worried about food safety. Had the food quality and handling been better, I would have rated our stay much higher."

Sauna without lighting, old-fashioned pool, locker-rooms not working. Below-average dinner and breakfast for 4 star hotel. Pool and sauna not open after dinner.
