Cataleya Hostel

There are just three bathrooms with a toilet inside for more than 20 people, no matter if you have a private room or you sleep in the dorm. During our stay one of the three bathrooms was even blocked. We were a group of five so we used the deluxe private room, the normal private room and the dorm and everyone were unfortunately very unhappy.

Close to the airport and to the city centre, the stuff was nice and helpful

The place is close to the airport so it’s convenient if you just arrived. The town is small so is to walk from there anyway. The terrace with hammocks is nice. It is ok for one night.

Unfortunately there was no water from 9pm to 8am and therefore no option to get drinking water from the filter. You can also imagine a bathroom without flushing for that amount of time how it would look like. The breakfast is very simple - they give you some prepared mix for pancakes and you need to make it. I wouldn’t really sell it as breakfast honestly. Showers are cold and bed is not very comfortable. Also the vibe wasn’t great and no socialising at all.

Comfortable, clean, good location. But by far the best thing is their water dispenser. You can get 1.5L for 25 cents.

You have to ask the receptionist for the pancake batter. I wish it were just accessible. Also there's no bathroom in the shared spaces.

Great location, very friendly staff. The owner Juan is always very helpful and provides advice on places to see. He also helped setup a football match for me to watch in the hostel which was much appreciated.

Is walking distance to many places and the vibe is so cool.

Internet was always available , great for Digital nomads. clean sheets, locker rooms available . safe space .

breakfast needs to be done by you , it's pancake prep. 1 cup per guest , you deal on how to cook it . multiple people cooking their pancake at the same time ... i know for the price they charge there's much you can ask for.

The people who work there are an amazing team, attentive and friendly.
