First the location, in Norway you get beautiful Nature, this setting is in the middle of it, the view of the Fjord ia amazing the home reflects the history of the area, and is kept with this in mind, pictures and books of the history of the Area and the family home Lars was so welcoming, although i was there for work you still get the feeling or pride in the history from him i have travelled the world through work and do not like Chain hotels and the corporate feel, i have been to this area before, and love it !

shared facilaties, although they did block off one bathroom for my rooms use, a sink in the room would be nice i think the room i used probably had one in its past,

This was the most charming and beautifully designed guesthouse we have ever stayed in. From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed with such warmth and kindness. As first-time visitors to this country, we felt incredibly lucky to have met Marianne and Lars, who not only made our stay unforgettable but also took the time to share the history of the hotel and the Norwegian way of life with us. In the morning, they prepared a delightful breakfast, and we sipped our coffee on the terrace, taking in the breathtaking view. Every flower in the house was vibrant and full of life, a reflection of the care and attention they put into every detail. Even though we were their only guests that night, they went above and beyond to make us feel at home. Marianne and Lars are truly exceptional hosts, dedicated to creating a warm and welcoming experience for their guests. We are so grateful to have had the chance to stay here and to have met such wonderful people. It felt like home—filled with comfort, kindness, and genuine hospitality. Thank you for everything. We hope to return one day and see you again!

Marianne and Lars are super enthusiastic and nice people who do their very best to make their guests as comfortable as possible. The breakfast is worth mentioning apart from this, that was superb with fresh salmon and a lot more to choose from.

Nothing, the place is more than a century old but the bathrooms are up to date and everything else is just what you may expect from such an old ( but very cozy) place

What a beautiful, idyllic place! We were looking for hotels in the area that were a little different and we were so glad to find Granum Gård. The scenery was gorgeous and the two owners were so welcoming, kind, and professional. They really have created a true gem. We loved the 2nd floor living room, with its view and coziness. The breakfast room was so nice, overlooking the landscape. It was very interesting to tour the grounds to learn about the history of the place. We only wish we could have stayed another night! Highly recommend!

It is a hidden gem. If you want to go back to times when you visited your relatives in rural areas + the most spectacular view and unmatched hospitality - this is what this place is about.

That it is not promoted enough. Many people must be missing out.

Remote but view spectacular. Hosts were very kind and warm. The breakfast and updating are the result of their efforts. They actually have a charging station for EV rental from Oslo. The farm is rich with history, which they readily share.

It is special in the remote location, consequently dinner choices in neighboring towns is very limited in choices and hours of operation. I would suggest Hov over Dokka, and call ahead.
