This is less of a lodge or retreat, than it is a Buddhist Temple. I have nothing against anyone's religion but I wasn't expecting religious artifacts, statues and pictures absolutely everywhere. A few days before our arrival i got a call from the property manager and was told the room I booked overlooking a lake would not be available and we would be placed in another room. When we got there the room they gave us was tiny and overlooked a dusty, gravel parking lot adorned worth more religious statues. My wife and I left. While I didn't expect a full refund I expected a partial. I was told someone would get back to me. So I waited before leaving a review. But no one ever got back to me. So here's the review. I've noticed that the people who flaunt thier religion are always the ones with very little ethics.

I’m truly glad this place exists. It offers something more meaningful than just a typical stay—it’s a space where you can slow down, be mindful, and reconnect with yourself. The entire atmosphere felt peaceful, quiet, and deeply zen, making it easy to relax and let go of everyday stress. One of the highlights was the view from the room overlooking Lake Cuyamaca. It was incredibly serene and calming—watching the stillness of the water added to the overall sense of tranquility. This is the kind of place you go not just to stay, but to feel restored. The spa services we received were outstanding. Highly recommended this place.

Awesome experience. I had the detox package. It is all inclusive and everyone is an expert in their area that included yoga, meditation and message. I left feeling renewed and had a consultation that was designed specifically for me on the foods that will keep me healthy.

There aren't adequate words for this experience. My daughter and I went on this trip for rejuvenation and emotional recovering., reunion celebration., From the moment we arrived, I knew this wouldn't be like any other hotel experience, and it absolutely wasn't. The calmness and tranquility. The peacefulness we ALL need to deal with everyday life., it's here! A break from the mundane or stress, the peacefulness here, from the atmosphere each employee we dealt with radiated calm and peace. I have never had such an experience. Hands down, I believe everyone should experience this type of peace and tranquility., and if you need the BEST Avacodo toast, you definitely must have theirs (says My daughter) Thank you for making our reunion anniversary such a wonderful experience. We will definitely be back!

We've stayed at quiet mind retreat a few times. We love this place, it's a beautiful places to relax and get away from the city. Staff always friendly and helpful. We will be definitely going back.
