+ Very convenient location close to a bus stop and the ferry service to Valetta, also for visiting the Three Cities + spacious apartment, but the bathroom is tiny + many shops nearby + there‘s an adapter for euro plugs There were minor shortcomings and annoyances like rust on the shower hardware, black spots in the bathroom’s edges and corners, mirror desilvering, a greasy metal soap holder that later was removed, a rusty kettle, a wonky fridge with a microwave on top that shakes when you open it, no two cups matching, a church that rings its bells during the day and night, noisy people outside the apartment, hearing the other guests conversations in the bathroom, and mosquitos in the apartment (an electrical anti-mosquito appliance is provided though). We were able to deal with it. We got the impression that the guest’s experience is not a big priority in this accommodation. Also it didn‘t seem as if communication with the host would be fruitful for our issues because 1) some of them can’t be solved without redesigning the apartment and 2) the host seems to have a “take it or leave it” attitude which you can also see in the replies of the host to some of the more critical reviews here. But they reply quickly. Some weird experience: when we arrived in the apartment, there was a man inside. He said he was an AC technician replacing a faulty unit. Since we arrived at the apartment about 1,5 hours before our requested check-in time, we had no reason to complain, but we had already received a message with the code to enter an hour earlier and usually that means the room is ready. However, the technician told us he would be working in the apartment for a further 4-5 hours. We were expected to leave our luggage in the apartment with the technician. That was quite a big ask since both the host and the technician are basically strangers to us. There was no prior communication about the technician coming and also no apology for the inconvenience. In the end the AC worked.

- bathroom: The layout and location of the bathroom is the weirdest we've seen so far. From the photos provided we couldn’t wrap our head around what it actually looks like. The bathroom is basically a walk-in wet room. The entrance to the bathroom is glass door with silicone edges as usually seen on shower cubicles. There‘s also a shower curtain to have privacy. The bathroom is located right next to the top end of the bed. As you walk into the bathroom, the first thing you pass through is the shower area (a shower head on the wall). It merges directly into the toilet and sink area. The sink is tiny and you can barely wash your hands in it. The toilet is regular-sized. When you take a shower the whole bathroom gets wet including the whole floor, the toilet and potentially the toilet paper or any towels kept in the bathroom. - cleanliness: Upon arrival the toilet seat didn't look like it got cleaned after the previous guest. There was what seemed to be a blob of period blood and a bit of poo left in the toilet. We flushed it ourselves. The kitchen floor had also not been wiped, there were lots of pebbles and/ or crumbs on the ground. The kitchen table was sticky. We asked the host if the apartment had already been cleaned. The host affirmed that. There were also all other indications of readying the room: the sheets had been changed, new towels were placed on the bed and the garbage had been emptied. The cleaning maybe just isn’t too immaculate usually. We requested a second round of cleaning given the stains and pebbles. After the second clean-up the apartment looked okay. - when it was time to sleep and we turned off all lights, we discovered the next issue: a glaring green emergency exit light above the entrance door, which is very well visible from the bed (see pictures). We were told that it‘s illegal to turn it off which may well be accurate, but none of our other accommodations had such a light.

Appartamento piccolo ma confortevole e ben organizzato. Buona posizione per spostamento in pullman per visitare il centro e sud di Malta.

Forse un po più di pulizia nelle stoviglie e lascerei per gli ospiti qualche condimento tipo olio e sale e del caffè in polvere considerando che c'è la caffettiere tipo BIALETTI.

Arredamento curato, non mancava nulla letti comodi. Accogliente

La terrazza sopra la struttura molto accogliente ha sopperito al fatto che era al terzo piano (senza ascensore) e al bagno molto piccolo e senza una cabina doccia. Personale molto disponibile.

Bagno estremamente essenziale, lavabo molto piccolo, mancanza di una cabina doccia. Il forno al piano superiore nella stanza comune poco funzionale, televisione poco fruibile (non si collegava ai servizi in streaming e al digitale) e soprattutto mancanza di un forno a microonde in cucina. Era presente un bollitore ma non una macchina per caffè o una french press. Da migliorare con piccoli accorgimenti.

Nous avons apprécié la disponibilité des hôtes, la clim, la situation de l'appartement permettant de se balader facilement, de visiter et avec les commerces juste à côté. Le fait de pouvoir se garer dans la petite rue facilement et gratuitement était un vrai plus.

Nous savions que la salle de douche/toilette était toute petite donc ça ne nous a pas embêté mais faut s'organiser ! Le lit en face de la clim n'est pas idéal... Mais après expérience, mettre des serviettes sèches sur le lit baldaquin devant la clim, ça aide bien ! :)
