16 Queen Avenue

I would definitely return to this property. It was lovely and had all the comforts of home. The bed advertised as Queen size but I think this was a mistake as it seemed to be the same as a double. The decor was very pleasing and the apartment was excellently situated for all amenities .

Great location, clean tidy apartment, comfy beds, good facilities. Communication before and after was poor: had to request check in details several times, i phoned them twoce and theyd phoned me once and i still wasn't sent check in directions until i was 1 hr away and had requested them for 4th time. At this point i was then told about the deposit for the 1st time (in 3rd conversation with apartment management) and had to stop my car to pay it online so i could get the directions. Directions then were good and apartment great location. Says free parking with apartment but you have to pay for parking in a regular nearby car park then claim it back. But when i was there the machine wouldn't give a receipt so i couldn't claim it back. Took long time and lots of nagging messages to get my deposit back. But I did get it back in full eventually. I'd like to stay in this apartment again, I'd recommend the actual apartments. But I'm not sure I would book again because of the disorganised (though admitedly very friendly) management.

The apartment was OK and served it's purpose but would likely not be going back. Whilst they were happy to help with a travel cot i would not call the apartments family friendly, especially if you have a pram due to the stairs you have to take to get to the room, even though there is a lift to your floor, there are more stairs after that. The apartment was relativley clean but could be better, a radiator was hanging off the wall, urine stains under one of the toilet seats and dirty skirting boards, not the end of the world but certainly not ideal either. Overall the price was really good, however, we werent made aware of a security depsoit needed until we were an hour away and was being told it was needed before i could check in, not sure if this is down to hotels.com or not but would have been good if this was clear up front. Probably ideal for a weekend away with friends, but not ideal for a family with prams etc.

DONT STAY HERE! NOISEY AND CHEAP! We had 4 hours disturbed sleep, worst nights sleep EVER in a hotel, and I have stayed in £5 hostels in asia! The windows are paper thin, and didn’t make a difference open/closed, could here everyones conversation in the street (despite being on third floor) , and seagulls screaming constantly from 5am. Blinds did nothing so bright in room, the room was described as “luxury” but everything felt very cheap, and the sofa was so uncomfortable. There wasn’t a big mirror/place for makeup- everything in the room felt cheap, missing essentials like shower gel and fan, basic things! Blonde hairs everywhere on sofa and kitchen! The communication about parking was not clear, have to check into room to get car park card,this was communicated after we arrived!! The room was not good enough for sleeping no soundproofing, or darkness! come here if you don’t like sleep!! we had to spend the day so tired, and we even left a day early as we couldn’t bare another night in there! customer service also terrible,said they would call then didn’t after two days, then after me constantly persisting they refunded a random £50 when it was more than this! so basically come here if u don’t want to sleep, and have an uncomfortable cheap room and bad customer service! TERRIBLE!

Perfect location and perfect apartment

Check in was late as property wasn’t ready, had to go out and come back an hour or so later, wasn’t the cleanest unfortunately. The guy was apologetic about late check in which was fine, however they offered us a round of drinks on them but we didn’t receive the money. Little communication about check in/check out. Luckily the cleaner was still there when we arrived and just told us to take the key. On a whole the apartment was fine for what we needed as we weren’t in it much.

We were originally booked to stay at 16 Queen Avenue, but didn't actually end up staying as was advised unfortunately in the afternoon of check in that there was a problem with water damage and the property was unusable. I was frustrated and annoyed for the late notice but the agent, Mikey, was very apologetic and relocated us to an alternative apartment on Kent Street. I was nervous to begin with not knowing what to expect but I needn't be. Our apartment was on the 6th floor, there was a lift. It was well appointed, living areas light and spacious. Nice balcony to take in the City views and a bonus having on site parking. It was a short walk to many lovely independent restaurants and bars nearby and attractions. We stayed during this Bank holiday weekend and although the surrounding area was busy and you could hear some street noise, it was not loud enough to keep you awake. Beds were comfortable and the shower was powerful. Some of the fittings had a bit of wear and tear but overall, I would be happy to stay again at Kent Street and we really enjoyed our stay. Location of apartment was excellent. Very clean and nicely presented. We booked an apartment for 6 adults, but the sofa bed was certainly not big enough for 2 adults. There seemed to be some confusion on check in, that we required wheelchair access, so maybe we had been allocated incorrect room. We had some very noisy neighbours the first night. Apart from this, the stay was great and we would recommend it, should you not need the sofa bed for 2 adults! They were very kind enough to organise a surprise gift for my sisters 50th. We would stay again.
