Saratoga Resort

I initially didn’t want to leave a review out of respect for how hard the staff was working, but I eventually changed my mind because this motel could benefit from improvements—especially for the sake of future guests. The inn looks somewhat refreshed, but only partially. I can’t speak for all the rooms, but ours had several issues. The bathroom had a poorly painted tub with peeling paint, and the ceiling showed visible mold spots that had just been covered with a thin layer of paint. Both the bathroom and bedroom had small, dirty windows with transparent tape around them, which looked unappealing. The sofa bed also needed a thorough vacuuming inside. Another important point: the property was advertised on Hotels.com as having an ocean view. In reality, it does not. A tall condominium directly in front blocks the full ocean and beach view. On the positive side, the motel is just steps from the beach, has a beautiful pool, and there’s a convenient café right on the corner of the building. I hope this feedback helps the owners focus on needed improvements and advertise the property more accurately for future customers.

Very comfortable beds!

It was very dated but clean. Amenities such as a hairdryer were not included. The air conditioner was extremely loud.

The Saratoga is an old beach hotel. It’s nothing fancy but it gets the job done. The best thing about it is its location from the beach.

The two king size beds were fairly comfy. The location was right next to the beach. The pool was ok. We were allowed in our room a few hours early and also allowed to leave our car there for a few hours after check out while we went to the beach/boardwalk. It was nice they had a hallway bathroom and outdoor shower we were able to use before leaving after checking out.

Before we even got out of our car, we smelled whatever cleaner they used. Upon entering our room, I started getting a headache from how strong it smelled of dirty fabuloso basically. I immediately started checking out the beds bc a fear of bed bugs. The one mattress pad/sheet corner was all moldy. I immediately got the housekeeping lady who seemed annoyed and all she did was take it off and say we didn’t need it. Then my husband found a lot of surface mold on the kitchen cabinets and closet wall. I spent $100 extra to stay here than another place bc I saw it had really good reviews - but I was def disappointed and would not stay here again.
